joe....this is a snowmobile.
Yea, I knew that... that's why I asked as my line or expertise was with outboards only. Seems very strange to have a high speed adjustable needle valve on a 1968 engine.
Should be exciting adjusting that thing, going thru the snow at full throttle.![]()
Yes it does Joe, remember I used to work on them. It was tricky going through the snow with the hood lifted up:joyous:

Ya the old snow crusher may get 25 mph down hill, and I mean a steep hill at full power, but can they pull. The were renowned foe weight though. My machine is not a kohler engine, that was a 70's machine they put those motors in. My motor is an opposed two cylinder two stroke that share lots of parts with 33hp Johnson outboards.
