I was wondering approximate value that my 1965 75 horsepower evinrude motor might be worth used? It runs well.

They were thirsty buggers and probably aren't real desirable. My guess would be somewhere around $500 though I'd list it for $800 and see what I could get.

It has selectric shift pushbutton type. I recently discovered that I need to change out my postive diode and my negative diode due to my battery not charging well.

It turns out that my positive and negative diode were the culprits in my engine not starting and running well and I know my battery will start charging better now.

I recently purchased a 15 HP evinrude 1981 motor and it is giving me fits. It starts but, will not stay running unless I was pumping the bulb on my fuel line. I believe it is my carberatuer or fuel pump. Does that sound about right?

I'm not a big outboard guy but sounds like a fuel pump.

I am still working up that trolling motor it seems like I am getting air in the system via the fuel hose connection since there is some leakage there. Additionally on my 75HP evinrude I recently had to have my starter rebuilt due to the brushes deteriorated to the nubs inside it. I got it back from the electrical shop good as new. I think my solenoid decided to die on me as well since I heard a single click of the solenoid then nothing. I have ordered a new solenoid and probably get that in about a week. The boat otherwise has been holding up well.
