Looks like some kind of bondo or putty along with fiberglass.

Got a little more grinding done today.

I also cut out a section of the box stringer system to get the the back of an area I need to patch.

I was wondering when I did, if I would find any air bottles with water in it? Sure enough, there was.

I am willing to bet there are a lot more air bottles that have water in them.

I guess my best bet is to remove a section on each box section and remove the air bottles, use any that are still good and maybe use some pool noodles or some type of closed cell foam to make up the difference. What do you think?

Here is the area I will be patching. Epoxy or poly here?

Looks like Poly and CSM would be perfect for that job.

I think I might consider cuttin out the side of the compartment and then packing it full of the Blue Slab foam from Lowe's and then glassing back over it with 1708.

This is the stuff you want. It will never absorb water.

#2 is what you want. (they used a pic of #2 for #1 which is incorrect. Styrofoam is not closed cell).

Wood, I'm 100% sure about #2 but I don't know what #3 is so I didn't recommend it. That looks to have some sort of white insides. Fstorm, the pink stuff from Home Depot is the same as the blue Dow for what it's worth.

Dang EZ, you did it to me again!!!! I took another look and you are correct #2 IS the right one. Solid Blue all the way thru. What I pick is Exterior Wall insulation board, and NOT what you want to use. Thanks for the CATCH!!!

This one is kinda on ther back burner right now as I am just working on getting out on the water.

The Glassmaster is pretty much complete, just needs the usual where the Winner will need more dough thrown at it (which is kind of limited at this time but when it is not ) in parts.

Did a little glassing on the Winner today:

Wanted to get some more work in with some smaller glass'n jobs with 1.5oz csm and 1708 biax after the horrible job I did yesterday with the Glassmaster.
