Finishing up the lower helm instrument panel with the new Faria gauges.Just taking it one gauge at a time, making sure I get all the lockwashers in place and everything is tightened properly. Thats the last thing i need is a ghost electrical problem in this endless maze of wire!!!!!

I put the seat cushon under the dash to catch all the old hardware that fell off so I didnt have to fish is out of the air conditioner compartment.

Started cutting some seawater strainer brackets today. I will be painting them bilgekote white and install a small Lumitec LED behind the strainers so I can see them lit up at night without having all the engine compartment lights on.

The whole idea is I will be able to lift the smaller battery hatch cover up and the strainers will be right there, totally lit up in the dark and I'll be able to see there is good water flow to the engines should there be a problem with engine temperature.

Using my benchtop spraybooth for painting again I used a scrap piece of plywood and some screws pointed up for stilts, that way i can paint both sides without waiting for one side to dry.

Mounted a couple Lumitec engine room LED's in the engine room today. Very excited to see how bright they are with white bilge paint to act as a reflector! Engine room LED light specs can be seen here: Nevis - Engine Room Light - White

Great idea for checking your strainers at night. And thanks for all the photos on your build process. It's really helpful to understand exactly what's going on.

Finishing up my backlit seawater strainers. Here I am installing the Lumitec Newt livewell lights as backlights. I love these little guys!

Oh man, you don't know how glad I am to see this post. I have been looking for some LED lights just like those Newt livewell lights and just couldn't find anything! Thanks!

Had a terrible case of boating fever today. It actually made it up to 55 outside and pure sun and no wind which made it feel like 70 out. I couldnt resist pulling the shrinkwrap off. I really wanted to start working on the flybridge. Got the flybridge bimini top cleaned up with the power washer and a little LA totally awesome cleaner and some Spray Nine to get rid of the mold.

Got the upper helm gauges changed out today. Another wiring mess and very time consuming.

I feel for you. It's been in the mid-80s the last several days in TN, and our lows are in the low 50s. It's looking great though. I'm looking forward to hearing you describe how she runs.
