Someone had to supervise, but that left no cameraman. Ill post some pics back on the trailer later. Thanks again for the help Dave, anytime you need a hand holler.

Once I got it outside in the light I can see some thin spots on the stripe and sure can see the roller marks with that dark color, might have been best to rattle can the stripe. Oh well, touch up what I can and live with the rest. Its a fishing boat, not a show boat. :)

:DI'll update your thread for ya,

Boat is flipped back over and back on the trailer. The paint is really hard after only a week. Boat should be in the water by Memorial weekend. Stay tuned for pics.....

Unless you left some cash and a half dozen Starcraft building elfs someplace in the garage I think Memorial would be a miracle. :D

Boat looks great and even right side up. Hard to see coverage with those dark colors without perfect lighting. Need to get the kids coordinated blue and white outfits for future pics:)

Re: 1978 Starcraft Holiday 18 Rebirth

Thanks for the compliments guys!

Well didnt get a whole lot done this weekend other than the big flip. Put a couple oak tops on a couple half walls in the house that the wife has been bugging me to finish up for the last couple years. I kinda liked the 2x4 and drywall edge look, but it was Mothers Day. :D

So other than the flip I toyed around with the seats, replaced the wood on all the bottom cushions and rebuilt the boxes (dont tell anyone I used AC2 ), need to get some vinyl to cover the boxes now.

I confinscated one of the wifes magic erasers to give it a go on the seats. Worked great! The pieces in the picture had already been scrubed with a vinyl cleaner pretty good, the top one was after the magic eraser! :D:D:D

Some crappy news on the home front. Wednesday my "position at work was eliminated". They did send me home with pay for a good chunk of the summer so atleast I got that. Started with the company when I was 17 and would have had 14 years in this July. But oh well, what do ya do. Time to move onto bigger and better things. And I guess I'll have more time to work on the boat, just hope I dont have to sell it once its done.:(

Hey Charlie, that's terrible news, hope everything works out for you. Boy the economy down there must still be pretty bad .

Re: 1978 Starcraft Holiday 18 Rebirth

Thanks for the wishes guys, I have a couple leads but have to see if anything pans out. Just gonna keep going on the boat and try to keep myself busy for the short term till the dust settles, hopefully something works out and I can get back to work. Being at home and having to go on unemployement doesnt appeal to me.

Well just got back from Menards. Picked up my ply for the floor, went with 3/4" since I had one chunk leftover that will work for the nose section. Seems that the pink foam board has gone up since last year when I got it for the Falcon, was as much as the wood. I do have a bunch of empty Tide laundry jugs in the trash bag in the basement. Hmmmm? :D

That just means you now have the experinece and the ability to show your NEW employer why you are worth 25% more than your old company was paying you. It'll happen... Just have faith.;)

Sorry to hear about that man. Better opportunities waiting around the corner for you I'm sure. Now a Memorial splash sounds a bit more realistic. Chin up!

Re: 1978 Starcraft Holiday 18 Rebirth

Got all my floor pieces cut yesterday and got a coat of my special polyurethane rubber paint sealant stuff on the bottom and sides, not sure what its called but my buddy uses it to waterproof cement, its industructable and works great on the wood. I found my test piece that I coated last year while doing the Falcon, it sat outside since then and it was still sealed up tight.
