Maddie, where they biten buddy? I think I should see at least a little fall action out in the bay/river eh!

Well...from bay city up to wickes there have been reports of a few here and a few there. Sounds like usual methods of cranks and jigs. I would imagine that 8-15 fow in the bay will start pretty quick as well. I'm in full waterfowl mode since I got two does saturday and am done with that business!

Heck nice job man! I haven't yet pulled my bow out of the case so I'm a little behind on that. I really want to fish a little and hunt a little over the next couple of months (plus a pretty major house renovation mixed in there too).

---------------------------

I kinda got side tracked on a fishing tackle project over the past couple days, hang tight on that. I'll shoot up some photos in a couple days:)

Hey man.. I've been shopping for pedestals and looking fro a little bit more info.

Are your pedestals a fixed mount?
Do the seat mounts swivel?
How high is the top of the seat mount on the pedestal to the floor?

TIA!

Suuuuup SMG!

Yup, pedistals are fixed.

Seat mounts swival and slide:cool:

Well, the top of the pedestal is prolly only about 4". I know that seems way low but they are very comfortable.:)

Hmmm, I think he's asking about the gunwale fittings in the 3rd shot in post #1687 below the words: Locked on the 50# Minn Kota... Could be wrong, it's been known to happen! :)

TII

^^^^^ Yes, yes, this! Thanks TII! The twin shiny knobby looking things on the port side.

Aussies and Canucks must be a closely related species...:D

(i had no idea til i popped back in that i had started a sub topic all its own...)

While I lack the skilz that GT (Love the eyes :D) has I thought he was asking about these.

Yah doods, those are just an extra pair of stainless thru hulls I had - now for the purpose of routing batt cables, transducer wires, trolling motor wires, yadayada. Makes it very convenient:)

K, been side tracked from the stern bench build. Mostly been cutting/splitting/stacking/moving firewood. The Michigan winter waits for no man!

The other thing I worked on was just a fun tackle project.

Check it out...

That is a butterfly net. My late mother bought that a couple years ago at a garage sale for my kiddos to chase butterflies. It's really pretty special to me as mom just loved buying stuff at garage sales for my little ones. We all still miss her so much.

Anyway, I decided to rehab it and turn it into a fishing net. Sanded, varnished and laced up a nice heavy duty rubber net...

I really like it, nice long handle, the varnished wood is pretty cool, like the rubber net....

But more than anything I love that it came from our "Bonya".

Re: 1980 Sea Nymph SS 165 Rebuild

Thanks fellas! Should serve the purpose for most pan fishin, bass, walleye stuff from this Sea Nymph and the Mirro Craft. I have a giant net that will live on the Islander for Slamon/Steelhead/Lake Trout.

And like I said, I'm especially fond of it considering where it came from :)

Yah Glen, what you have there will find it's way to my neck of the wood soon enough. I love winter but I love fall wwaaaaay more and I'm not ready for it to be over yet! So, hang onto that stuff will ya! Thanks buddy:D
