Re: 1982 Sylvan Bassboat project
Ok my iboats brethren. I trust you all had a productive weekend. We were busy but we did manage to get a few hours in on Saturday.
I finally had some time to clean out the hull from all our laziness this summer. I scrubbed down all the stringers we had bedded and pb'd in, vacuumed out the dirt and grime in between and wiped it all down with acetone. Finally, ready to move back forward again!
I managed to spend enough time to lay 1 layer of CSM and 2 layers of 1708 wet on wet to tab in both sides of the port side stringer and the port side of the center stringer.
by the time I was done my back was killing me

I had forgotten how uncomfortable this could get, lol
Here's Saturdays results.
Tonight I was able to get back at it again. Not much time but made enough time to do a wet on wet layup of the starboard side of the center stringer.
We're almost out of 1708 so I'll put in an order tomorrow and we'll have to wait for it to arrive to finish the starboard stringer. Not to worry though. We have enough scraps to take care of the bilge area and we have a few other pieces to bed in as well, not to mention getting back onto the trailer. Look for our next progress on Thursday.
