Well, I am thinking that you don't have any stringers or a deck on yet, so, it should fit just fine, eh!

Yah a 70 gal would be super cool! I think you'd be fine prolly. The gas line fittings would likely be higher than where your old deck used to be but you could always raise this one up if you wanted to, maybe???

Re: 1986 21 ft starcraft cc restore

i'm getting ready to prime. i'm using self ecthing primer, how heavy do i apply and is there any prep needed before the reg paint? it seems if i were to try to sand the revits would be bare again.
do i just do a light dusting then paint over??
i need some direction on this

Not for sure here, but I used the etching primer on my upper sides...couple of light coats, but full coverage, then I hit it with 400 grit lightly to knock the fuzzies out of it...real lightly, just sorta skimmed along it.

Pretty sure a light dusting is all that's needed.

EZ and Bob

thanks

this painting thing is wigging me out... not real good at it.
i want to do a really good prep figuring it will help the most.
going to fix a few revits that i know are bad and i want to seal all the new ones before paint. i only plan on doing the bottom right now let it dry good and flip and put back on the trailer then do the rest

thanks again

Re: 1986 21 ft starcraft cc restore

Wish I could help ya out buddy but I am about ten steps behind ya!

I sprayed my transom with two thin coats of self etching zinc primer. My "PLAN" from here is to do a very light sanding and then first coat, second coat, very light sand (maybe) final coat.

Mind you, PLAN at this point.

I'll be watching how you shake out!

Have fun!
