Re: 1986 ss 201

Great weekend here a little snow and wind today, but nothing like you poor guys out east YIKES. Rob came out and we worked on the Motor home project yesterday, including a 100k test drive, it handles great.
Plus I got the axles set up under the SS trailer. Don't know if I had to many wobbly pops yesterday or what but I couldn't read a tape measure to save my sole this morning, I had to cut the center hanger off twice because I put it in the wrong spot.:noidea: I decieded against the adjustable axle mount, as I would have only had about six inches of movement.

Beer cans make lousy levels. Hopefully the winch can be moved enough if you need to adjust the tongue weight. Looking good, D.

Re: 1986 ss 201

More trailer progress, all the re-fabing is done till the new fenders get here, should be tomorrow or Thursday. I built a new cross member for the tongue, the old one was a little bent and too high making the boat sit a little high at the bow. So I offset it and the tongue so I can lower the bow approx. 3.5"s.
I also added a cross member at the rear to support the new bunks I will put on instead of the rollers.

Fenders are mounted, have to finish sanding, then paint. Hope to have it done by next weekend.

I like the four fenders. Much classier and custom looking than having one long fender on each side. Nice, DII.

Thanks Guys, I really like the four fenders as well. I tried the long single fender and it didn't look good at all.

Nice dII. Just wondering if you were going to make the trailer shiny. Just a little work buffing it out ya know.
