You did easypoxy right? Why did you choose gelcoat over 2 coats on easypoxy with non skid again?

No easypoxy..Gel Coat over glass. I went with the Gel Coat for a few reasons..

*I could tint it to the color I wanted
*Going to be a very tough hard surface
*Wanted to support my local guy and I really feel comfortable with the advice he's given me.

I'm not saying Easypoxy wouldn't look just as good..I just liked the idea of it being 2 part and being a really tough surface and that I could color match it.

Your deck is amazing and I am just getting started with mine. Did you put any sand or nonskid in the gel coat?

Thank you, I appreciate that. I didn't put nonskid in there because I'm going to have snap in carpet in the boat. Do you have a thread going?

We've had some rain here the past couple days, so I haven't got a whole bunch of time in..tomorrow I should get alot done...I did however manage to get the doghouse back in, sealed down the deck hatch with 4200 and installed the Captains Chair. I also, set the storage boxes under the jump seats to see how those were going to work out. I also, polished up the aluminum bracket that holds the ski locker door in place. Turned out pretty good I think. Kinda hard to see the shine in the picture.

So far Murphy has been pretty good to me...Here are some pics..they aren't that great(rain was coming), and I'll get some better digital ones tomorrow of everthing.

I think you'll be really happy with it. My problem is, I'm so happy with the way it came out, that I dont want to step in the boat and get dirt on it.:p

Hey Gang..She's Just about finished!!:D Been busy doing odds and ends, cleaning out the dust, washing down the seats, getting the Bimini back on ect ect.

The last thing I need to do is get the Snap in Carpet installed. I'm currently talking with a few companies and deciding on color, and should have that ordered next week. Also today, I decided to try out some wet sanding on some areas that just were not buffing out the way I wanted to. All I can say, is that if you are reading this, and are a bit scared to wet sand your boat..don't be. I used 600 grit and 800, followed by some heavy duty rubbing compound and finally a cleaner wax both by 3M. You can totally feel the oxidation coming off when you are sanding..what you are left with is nice fresh Gel Coat to buff out and polish. Man, its really turning out nice. I have some pics of that too. I need to get another bonnet and pad but I think its really going to be nice when its done...You don't realize how much nicer the white parts of the boat can look, until you wet sand and buff them out..wow!

Here are some pictures of the basically, finished boat. I'm really happy with the way it came out, and I owe much of the credit to you guys around here that helped. I've learned so much from you, that I wouldn't even know where to begin. Thanks guys.

Rubber Mat inside the ski locker, like you would use as a tool box liner. Found at Harbor Freight, $5.99

Looks fantastic!

Word of advice....no matter HOW tempted you may be to go with burgundy carpet (let's face it, it would look awesome). DON'T!!!! I had dark carpet in my last boat (navy) and it was ALWAYS filthy. I could clean the whole boat and have it spotless.....first time you step into it off the ground....filthy. Go with something lighter that hides the dirt. Snap-in or not, dark sucks.

Thanks EZ...I'm NOOOOOT putting anything dark back in the boat. No way. I've narrowed it down to "Honey Beige" Berber or "Mooshine" Berber. Both are very common choices of Marine Berber. I'm leaning toward Moonshine..but the Admiral wants to see em both, so they are being sent out.

Hey MTribe08,
The boat looks fantastic.
I like the moonshine, but it's still illegal here. :p
Lighter should be better and keep that very clean look you have longer.
Great Job.

Naa..I really like the Mooshine. This is a sample of moonshine with a vinyl edge.
