Re: 1995 Monterey 210 Deck/Stringer Restore
Hey Gang..She's Just about finished!!

Been busy doing odds and ends, cleaning out the dust, washing down the seats, getting the Bimini back on ect ect.
The last thing I need to do is get the Snap in Carpet installed. I'm currently talking with a few companies and deciding on color, and should have that ordered next week. Also today, I decided to try out some wet sanding on some areas that just were not buffing out the way I wanted to. All I can say, is that if you are reading this, and are a bit scared to wet sand your boat..don't be. I used 600 grit and 800, followed by some heavy duty rubbing compound and finally a cleaner wax both by 3M. You can totally feel the oxidation coming off when you are sanding..what you are left with is nice fresh Gel Coat to buff out and polish. Man, its really turning out nice. I have some pics of that too. I need to get another bonnet and pad but I think its really going to be nice when its done...You don't realize how much nicer the white parts of the boat can look, until you wet sand and buff them out..wow!
Here are some pictures of the basically, finished boat. I'm really happy with the way it came out, and I owe much of the credit to you guys around here that helped. I've learned so much from you, that I wouldn't even know where to begin. Thanks guys.
Rubber Mat inside the ski locker, like you would use as a tool box liner. Found at Harbor Freight, $5.99
