The slurpee spigot makes sense with the temperatures coming so I may just run with that idea :)

The rig is looking great sprint, the dark blue contrasts the white deck and chrome pieces very well:)

Hope you can get her out on the water before the single digits hit you guys up there!

The best I can do is float it while I sandblast that fugly trailer.

Either that or trace every stinking wire in the birdsnet to see what goes where. A monkey wired the accessories. My new wiring harnesses from ezacdc should clean that mess up.

Still trying. Cutting back on the ot over here so more time for the boat.

Friday is drop off parts for upholstery day.

I need a couple of warm days to get the final coats on the deck done and start on the trailer or the wiring. I'll just keep picking away. Tomorrow I'll print off the wiring diagram and trace the wires and look at the colors to see if they were to standard.

I won't make it to finish her this year but it will be ready fopr early spring.

Here is where I was hoping to make it for her maiden voyage and winterizing.

http://www.kootenayangler.com/

World's largest trout about 6-7 hours away.

Gerrard Rainbows: World's Largest Trout
Kootenay Lake, British Columbia, land of giants. Giant trout, that is ? colossal rainbows, known as Gerrards, that weigh in at 5 times the normal size of Kamloops trout. The secret of their super-size: ideal spawning conditions on a short, gravelly stretch of the Lardeau River, a tributary of Kootenay Lake, and a rich, gourmet diet of Kootenay Lake kokanee salmon.

The Gerrard trout, named for a small community on Trout Lake, at the head of the Lardeau River, is a genetically gargantuan strain of rainbow trout that averages 6.8 ? 9.03 kilograms in weight, compared to the 1.3 ? 1.8 kilogram average for the standard Kamloops variety of rainbow trout found throughout interior British Columbia?s lakes and rivers. (Rainbows are a landlocked version of sea-going steelhead trout, and share the same species classification.) The Gerrard strain spawns and rears in spring on a single 300 metre stretch of the Lardeau River, producing fish that have been known to reach up to 20 kilograms in weight. (The largest Gerrard ever landed is said to be a 23.6 kilogram fish caught in British Columbia?s Jewel Lake in the 1930?s.) Gerrards also live longer than other rainbows ? up to 8 years, compared to an average lifespan of 5 ? 6 years for standard Kamloops trout.

Sounds like a pretty nice area for a fishing trip:D

I caught a nice 16lb Steelhead when I was about 10 years old, super fun since they love to leap out of the water while hooked.

I've got a buddy that just moved to Alberta east of Banff, maybe I should try to visit him next summer and check out your neck of the woods:)

That definately would be an awesome trip.

It's not on the edge of the Okanogan so there would be tons of wineries, etc with the fishing.

Head on down and we can all catch some lunkers and have a blast.

I dropped off the interior today for the upholstery.

The rain has finally stopped so the deck will get it's coats of the Durabak smooth. The ladder and interior pockets will also get done this weekend and will post some pics after I'm done.

A leisurely probably 10 hours to Nelson BC or 12 hours to Kelowna.

I can't wait to fish that area.

I don't know about the fishing but the Admiral makes me bring two cases of wine home each time I go up there :D

Well I pulled my old accessories harness out today. 90% of the wires didn't go anywhere.

Some 'tard spliced right into the middle of the harness to pull power from it. I'm glad I looked into that to clean it up. It's amazing how dangerous a little knowledge can be. I'll have to pull all the electrical tape off of it later and run it in a loom as I want to protect it.

It would be something to be out in the middle of a lake somewhere with the family and have a fire 'cause I wasn't thorough enough tracing all the wiring. I'd recommend to anyone out there to trace their wiring out as well.

I also ran some vinyl clips to hold the steering and throttle cables under the gunwale area. It's all cleaned up now.

I sanded the ladder the the back piece that will hold the stereo in preparation for painting tomorrow.

It's amazing how dangerous a little knowledge can be.

Isn't that the truth.
That's why doing these ourselves relieves a lot of worry...hard to put your trust let alone your family in some strangers hands.
Great job being thorough.

BTW, am I missing the "with pics galore" password or something? ;):D
