Thanks man. I might do an old Bronco frame off restore for me. :)

Those are some lucky kids...and grandkids;)

You are doing an A+ job from start to finish and I agree that it will last, the best sort of heirloom to pass on in my opinion. Nice work sprint:)

I want one like this to match my boat:D (Triton we like Broncos over on this continent 'cause they have 5.7L V8, removable hardtops and the back windows go up and down;))

I'm looking for 68-77 Bronco that is a frame off restore, 302 FI engine with computer from a Mustang, upgraded tranny with the standard indestructable front and rear diff in something in the 3.xx gearing.

I'd also prefer custom paint and flawless body work. I'm not asking for much really. :)

It's simply made, tough, removable top, and just a fun vehicle that is not too bad on gas with the new fi engine. Something fun to drive and tow the boat :)

When I lived in Colorado I had a 1976 CJ7. Loved it! It was my 2nd favorite vehicle.

My favorite was a early 80's Mercury Grand Marquis station wagon, baby blue and rusty color with the fake wood panels on the sides. I loved that wagon! Great big lazy boy sized 6 way power seats, held a ton of gear in the back! Awesome! My girlfriend HATED it with a passion! She decided to marry me anyway. She must have been able to look past it to see my male modelish good looks combined with the the charisma of a statesman:D

Yeah. I'll see what I can do to buy a tow vehicle in a bit.

The boat will get some wiring this week. I drained the water out of the block and filled with rv coolant so that will do for the weekend.

I'll add the led lights in the side pockets in the gunwale area and run what I have so far in a wiring loom with some wiring straps.

Pics to come this week...

I re-did a bunch of the crimp terminals with heat shrink tubes on the connections off of the trim motor, etc. The connections were falling apart so they are all new now with new lock washer, nuts and pictures coming tomorrow.

I also run my ezacdc wiring harness to the nav lights, horn bilge pump and switch, etc.

Oh that was my personal hell tonight too Sprintst! Had to call it quits when the darkness sat in, the lights came on and the bloodsuckers came OUT!

If you circulate enough booze through your system not even the skeeters will want it :)

I'd like to get the wiring nailed in my spare time this week with the led's, bilge pump, nav lights, etc just to see how they look properly wired. I'll run everything in looms too.

I'll also coat the bow supports in epoxy and use stainless nut and bolts and lock it all into place as there were a ton of nuts loose in the hull when I cleaned it up.

I'm disgusted.

I pulled apart my wiring harness to the back of the boat and there are splices into the ground wire everywhere. It will take a while to reverse engineer what some retard has done to get everything straightened out. I must have pulled four rolls of tape off the harness to get at the wires underneath. I guess they didn't believe in a ground bus or at the very least running a wire back to the neg on the battery.

Tomorrow is pics day as I try to go over what is there, break down the codes of which wire is which, etc. I have my mercruiser wiring harness colors ok but will trace down the rest. I did manage to find my leads to the gas tank in that mess though :)

I also started pulling the foam from under the front deck supports and replacing it with some non slip drawer liner. It's a kind of sticky foam that keep stuff from sliding around in drawers.

I thought today was just going to be running my new ezacdc harness to the accessories but I guess I was wrong...

It will be ok Sprintst. You will be gratefull in the end when you know all the wiring is right. Take a deep breath, cuss under your breath, and jump into it. Just another step to take on this voyage.;)

Tomorrow I'll have a beer while I'm doing it so it won't seem as bad. :)

It's all progress and I am happy that I know what's there now.

Hey sprintst,
Like posted before, take a deep breath, grab a beer and jump in. You'll be done before you know it.
Just remember when you redo it to keep it as simple as possible.
Will be waiting on the pic's.
I just came in been exercising again, ( sanding :( )
Take care
Bob
