Trailer work is a drag eh. Having the blaster I'm sure helps the matter though:)

It's better on the small pieces and the underside for sure. So close now :)

Now I know why people pay to get these done. I'm wiped from all this dirty work.

A few minutes more work done. I got the new rollers mounted on the brackets. The old axle end caps would not come off. Had to grind the little tabs that dig in to the axle shaft off so I could get the new rollers and end caps on.

A few more hours prepping and the trailer should be ready for paint.

How come nobody said these boats were going to be so much work :)

The trailer is done for now. I shot the trailer with POR15 Whitecote after using Marine clean to scrub and degrease and Prep and Ready to neutralize the rust and etch it with a phosphorus coating.

One bottle of each is enough to do a trailer and they are like 20 each...maybe cheaper in the US.

I decided to throw on the bunk supports and hit those with paint too. They didn't get hit with as much paint but still look better than before.

Here's a couple more shots. Tomorrow will be some new grade 8 bolts for the bunk supports and tail light hangers, etc. The bolts inside of the pressure treated bunks were eaten away.

Check out the blown out ceramic sandblaster nozzle. I swapped it out after 150 lbs of material as the copper slag ate through it.

Sprint, It's because all this :Ding makes you squint and blur your vision. As I am just starting to find out. At least you are all downhill from here. The trailer is top notch! And so is the Holiday. Splash coming soon?

One day soon. Maybe in Georgia. It's like 86 or so here for the next couple of days then starts to turn. It's all downhill from here weather wise as well. In a month or so it'll be 32 overnight.

I originally though I'd hit it with some paint and do so minor fix ups and be on the water in no time. I tend to over do sometimes. I even though about restoring an old Bronco to pull this thing but it might be just too much time.

Fishing somewhere is starting to look good...

If you don't hurry, you might find out if a Holiday makes a good icebreaker. LOL Right now you're warmer than I am, but mid 80s coming back.

I think most of us either under estimate how long or you fix one thing and another and another. Soon you start thinking these are a lot of work and wonder where the time went! I'm going for the minor fix-ups (I hope) just to get her on the water for now and decide what I really want to do.

Smart plan. If she's solid enough then I'd go with using her for a while until you get bored then start with the rebuild if that's what you choose to do.

It was easy to think a day here or there but life gets in the way. At least you don't have to deal with -30 from Dec to Mar. :) 100 to -50 is quite the temp swing around here from the best of summer to the worst of winter.

Trailers are tedious, boring work. Way to stick with it:)

Sure hope to see some your photos of some rainbow trout soon:D

The trailer work is tedious. Today was a loss as the bolt supply business was closed and the ones I tried to reuse as soft and I spun some off. I'll have to pickup some new 3/4 inch carriage bolts and some other odds and ends Monday.

I did get the tongue extension back on though. Next week led lights and back on the road.

I wonder if I should take it out and just float it to catch some rainbows :)

The trailer's looking great Sprinter! Not long now, hope you get her splashed before the weather turns nasty... -50 sounds EVIL! My hands turn blue and I start shivering at +50F! :)

It's very seldom that we get that cold but we did last winter. Tied with some place in Siberia for the coldest on the planet that day. :)

This cold weather talk is making me wonder if I should just get it out on the water once or twice to iron out the bugs so I'm ready to go in the spring :)

I picked up more grade 8 nuts and bolts to hold the bunk supports, etc in place. Tomorrow is bolting her back together and maybe starting the Pirahna Led (V940) trailer light kit

The light kit looks like a keeper from the online reviews and is made quite well. One of those rare made in Canada/US products. More pics to come.

Took the trailer home to run fresh wire. Temporarily hooked up the lights to get the trailer home. I'm digging the led lights.
