Sunday update.... Engine is up and running great. The rebuild on the carb was right on and it's purring nicely! :D

Out drive it together and complete! Ran the engine and outdrive hooked up,pumping water and going in and out of gear perfectly!

We built the panel for the controls and have them mounted.

Battery switch box is built and mounted.

The deck is glassed and waiting for gel-coat :)

Work has shifted to the trailer.....so far we will repack and reseal the bearings, rebuild wheel cylinders, new shoes and a new master cylinder and shock assy.... on the parts hunt for supplies.

Rob should post some pics later ;)

Man, I'm dying over here:( I can't believe how much you all are getting done. I am still trying to finish up my stringers. It is very slow with just me, but hoping to get done by the end of May.

Yes it sure does go faster with 2 people working 10 hour days..... if we put in a weekend we log 40 hours of man time on the rebuild!

Ok, here are the pics...

For starters, the outdrive is all put together and installed.:)

Carb installed on motor and tested...:D:D

Installed a piece of plywood so that the controls could be mounted and act as a backing plate for the side panel. The finish panel will hace a cutout in it to fit around the pre mounted controls

The deck is now covered in 1 layer of 1708 biax. Just a little light sanding and the Saturday it will get gelcoat, we chose a light grey

Another shot of the deck. You can see the beginnings of the storage area for the bimini and the rear seats. That's for another post...:p

So then we went to work on the trailer, removed the brake actuator and inspected the master cylinder...

Re: 87 Four Winns 210 Horizon resto

Last night we got together for some OT and jacked up the trailer and rested it on jackstands, removed a tire and drum (which looked good) and found a wheel cylinder that is frozen and has no chance of being rebuilt.

So the bottom line is we need to install a new brake system front to back... I love our Bust Out Another Thousand:rolleyes:

Well, like the cover of this months "BoatingWorld" magazine say's... The High Cost of Low Price. Used-boat pitfalls. I think we all fall into this category in one way or another. Everything looks great on your end, I finally found the underlayment ply I'm going to use, just wish this *#^%&*@ weather would turn around. Atleast I don't have to worry about brake's, I don't have any on my trailer. I'm quite sure you guy's will have them factory fresh in a day or so. Keep it up.

Well you called that one Maxxie, Put in some more OT tonight and I have Pics!!!

Allthe brakes are removed from the axels and don't look too good. That's what 9 years of neglect will do.

Drums are in good shape but we need new berrings and seals
IMG_2150.jpg

On the upside, we recieved the new barke actuator and installed it today and the rest of the brake hardware should be here tomorrow:D

We'll just keep chipping away, not long now. This weekend the plan is to cut out all the wood for the side panels, motor cover and rear seats, then gel the deck. After that it will be onto the brakes and/or carpeting the side panels. Trailer lights and electric winch needs some work also.
