Re: Barracuda Restoration
Thanks its something I really enjoy.
For tools I use: grinder, jig saw, circ saw, drill, sawzall and a bunch off sanders and of course heaters! I do have a shopvac for air. I wish I had a shop compressor because glass dust eats electric tools.
http://www.eversweb.on.ca/HeritageMarineEng/index2.htm is where I get glass supplies. Great place great people.
The resin is (was) 42$ a gallon and 6$ for hardener
and mat is approx 6$ meter (4' wide) for 6oz csm
That windshield sure was ugly before + it made it a $100 boat
once sold.
I woulden't say London is a great town theres no water! and is filled with old people (no offence
) Have you been down the the JLC to see the knights or was it the icedogs arena? The JLC is awesome!!
Good luck on supplies, where do you live now hamilton,Gatineau Hills or ottawa? I may know someone local + there are some members from ottowa as well.

What the heck is wrong with you?!! When I was 16 it was all I could do to catch a bus and build a baloney sandwich!!
Holy Crap!!
All kidding aside... that is an impressive rebuild for any age. So far all I have seen is a grinder and a saw and a uni-cycle... what else in the way of tools were you using? Do you have a shop compressor?
What was your source and cost on resin and mat? I was being charged through the nose in Ottawa for poly no wax... I would be willing to travel as my next project will require quite a few gallons. Been to London to see the Knights play... great little city. (Better than Hamilton...)
The boat looks better without a windshield BTW...
Sick skills on the glassing... I kept getting bubble and boils on my bends and corners... Impressive.
*Insert Don Cherry Voice here*
That's one good Canadian kid I tells ya...
