I hope this guy wandered what those usually two small pellets glued to those exotic gas flashlight bulbs was for ?I make sure I have a supply of just the right mix of Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon, Carbon dioxide, Neon, Helium, Methane, Krypton, Hydrogen, and Xenon gases to follow the water down as everthing drains.
Im hoping the "air dont freeze" technique is accurate... it's been so freaking cold this winter,,I've been stomping around earth for 52 years,,,this winter is a memorable one...10 degrees outside now... I went with Bondo's recommendation that air dont freeze and cast iron does very nice empty.. I removed my plugs and drained block and manifold, removed top water hose and used my air compressor back in Oct to blow it out.. I cupped my hand around the opening and blew away, nothing but air came out the bottom... obviously no one's gonna get out 100 percent of the water...pretty sure I'm ok with the little bit laying in there,,, will find out in March, maybe![]()
