I am using epoxy. Still need cloth for strength. Yes epoxy seals wood good but I guess I’m overdoing it maybe? I have enough materials to make it strong enough but not too heavy.
If I am going overboard, please let me know.

I do believe I still need to be using cloth for my layups. Yes epoxy seals and does have strength on its own but cloth does make a huge difference. I will continue my cloth layups![]()
Quite literally the opposite of my catholic upbringing :laugh:
The fabric IS for added strength. CSM with Poly IS required as a binder. The Cloth/Fabric is for added strength in Both cases. Transom, Stringers, Motor mounts and Decks should all be Tabbed using fabric. Epoxy by itself is all that's needed for waterproofing. Bottom of deck and seat bases etc. only need straight epoxy.
