Re: cuddy or bowrider
A few years ago I was in a 17' bowrider in a bay when a close-by tug boat
decided to make a turn and accelerate. The wave coming at us was like a
monster wall of water, and I powered the outboard to get the bow up as I
got the bow pointed at the monster wave. We rocked a bit, and some water
came over the bow, but we survived it. The bilge pump ran for awhile to get
the water out.
We are now in a 19' Bayliner cuddy, and there is no comparison to the
seaworthiness of the two boats. They have their differences, just like a
luxury limo and a sports car, well, sort of.
Good luck!
