Yah, and I'm not seeing any water coming out of the exhaust ports on the sides there either.

Seems to run pretty smooth! Maybe just an impeller job?

Whew! glad that flat didn't get the better of you. That's scary. Let's hope that's the first and last surprise out of the way. The boat looks to be in pretty good shape, even the seats. Score, on the cool free stuff in the boat too. It's always interesting to see what stuff the PO had in there. Congrats again! Let the wild rumpus start!

What a steal, Kev. She seems to be in fine fettle. Floors & transom solid? Looks like you could hit the water in a couple of days after fiddling with the motor.

The flat didn't happen in the same area as the flying lesson, did it?

Man what a deal. You're really living up to your handle. She looks to be in great shape. Did you say what year it is? Looks like late 70s to me.
It's always fun to find extras in a new to me boat. Once I found a $200 pair of L.L. Bean sunglasses. Hopefully you find the transom end caps. If not PM me and I can hook you up.

The 2 biggest issues are NO PEE STREAM on the motor..And the reason the previous deceased owners daughter was selling was that the transom had pulled away from the splashwell...They stated in the ad the hull was unsafe and basically scrap. I dont know WHO told them this but I would like to shake his hand and thank him..lol
I email EZ a pic yeaterday and he thought it was 16 ft for some reason so I submit the badge as proof..lol

nice boat and great buy! and it literally could not go to a better home. funny, i'm giving my FIAT away for the same reason....rather see her go to a FIAT lover for free than butchered by some kid for $500

It KILLED me to drag her home on a Saturday, then leave for a tradeshow all week. I was working talking to customers while visions of my new baby danced through my head.
March 31st is the end of my fiscal sales year, so it has been (I hate this phrase, it is used too much) March Madness.
I managed a few minutes the other day to pick up a new impeller, and will put it in tomorrow and test drive or take it to a shop that will do it for a C-note.

I hear the sales year end busy. 1/2 of mine(??? & yes it does make it hard to keep track of the parts & pieces sometimes) fiscal starts May 16, the other half July 1. Makes both lead-up months interesting to say the least. Strange, got a firm pickup date for the still languishing in Virginia SC, and manage to find a few days in a row to work on the FireFlite.

Farming out the impeller for a hundred sounds like a bargain if the alternative is to not to have it done in time to use the SS this weekend. Money well spent. Esp on a $250 boat:facepalm:, money most definitely well spent.

Well I went the 100 bucks route. Guy did great work, tore it down, blew out the passages. Installed new impeller.
Diane & I went to lunch and ran a couple errands and an hour or so later she was being hitched up to come home.
The mechanic stated it's a GREAT MOTOR and the best deal he has ever seen.
Another guy at the shop offered a straight trade for this 70 for his 110 rude with TnT..
I asked him how it ran, and he paused for a second..NO DEAL

Splash tomorrow to shake her out.
