I Just have a helper hold them on the outside then spin the nuts off on the inside. I reused all the ones on the 201, cuz they are alrrady painted blue. OH right no Salt water here.:D

Kev, i had the same problem....the few i was able to get off took me an hour each. clamping a visegrips loosely on the nut does help for the ones that aren't seized if you don't have a helper handy, but i ended up using the cutting wheel to get most of em out. learn from my stupidity and use the air die grinder to spin it rather than the lectric angle grinder, too hard to get the precision you need to avoid chewin up hull skin with latter.

I'm almost ashamed..I haven't touched the boat since this last post ^^^^

But since I just moved to a house with a dock on the water, the SS has moved up high on my priority list.
A buddy will let me keep it on his property for a week or so while I get my garage straightened out.
I may have to cut the trailer and add a swing away. Here she is at my office today in all her neglected glory (for now)

soon she can sleep here..

ONE WHOLE YEAR!!! And you come crawling back. I'm happy you have a new humble abode with dockage (and a bar???) . :D

Now get to work and tie the finished SS up at that nice dock. :joyous:

Thanks guys....
Good thing you weren't catching up on my Holiday thread Bluefin..
The house is awesome, I'm renting for less than what my mortgage was.
Yeah that makes sense.
My nephew from Cali is here for a month so I have cheap labor to get this done and show him there's more to life than sleeping in and video games

Sounds good to me. My wife and boss keep moving ahead though. Oh Madden how I've neglected thee, Resident Evil I hardly know you now. Hahaha

Working with your hands has a sense of accomplishment like no other. Good to see you back at it Kev. If the youngster doesn't perform keelhaul him!

Good luck

Hey thanks Don!
He's been great, respectful and a huge help.
Today I had him reassemble the lower to my 15hp rude.
There's just something about turning a wrench with a purpose that gives you a feeling of accomplishment, for him as well as me.

Don't faint but progress had been made!
The SS is finally home, had to move her from where I stashed her after the move.
Took her to my office to prep it for moving into the garage.
Spiders (huge freaking black widows) ants, termites, roach things, wasps all evicted with extreme prejudice.
Pics coming
