Yes, it is a little shame, but the Volvo Penta D-series engine have a little problem. I don't know what, but it is many different problems. I think it's great if Volvo Penta get the turbo in October month. I don't want to take the boat up from the sea and out again and so up again for the winter.

So how is it with the new turbo ???
Yes boating season is indeed much too short in our parts of the world !!!
If you end up getting a new bigger one can you please send this one over to me to test run for about 25 years !!!! LOL
Good luck with your decision.

Nice boat!

The Elegante is 33.2' not 38' ? At the growth rate your going I say go for the Alegria right away. It will save you some trouble. :)

What a beauty.

Re: From Monticello to....

Thanks.. :)

Monticello: 28 feet
Venezia: 29 feet
Prestancia: 32 feet
Intriuge: 33 feet
Elegante: 38 feet
Bocca Grande: 39 feet
Mediterra: 40 feet
Alegria: 50 feet

Yes, the Alegria is a beautiful boat, but it cost to much.. I have also ordered me a new BMW 5 series Facelift, so i can't buy so expensive boat..

Alegria cost 1 050 000 USD$ (5 500 000 NOK) here in Norway.. What a shame!!!! :mad::mad:

Re: From Monticello to....

Actually a friend of mine has the same boat. He loves it but is talking about trading it next year for a bigger one. I have been out on it a few times and it is really nice. I just installed satellite TV on it for him last spring. He has the bow thrusters on his (what a nice feature)
Congratulations and the very best of luck with it.
Ken.
By the way, please keep us informed in the Doral section even if you give a link to where you are posting.
We will miss you if you do not post here !!!

Re: From Monticello to....

Thanks Ken, good to hear about your friend and your friends Meridian.. The thrusters is a really nice feature. I will also change to a bigger one later, but i have to start with this one. It's so expensive.

I will keep you informed here in the Doral section. I will also post here in this thread about the Meridian, maybe it also will be a new Doral after some few years? :)

Re: From Monticello to....

Hmm.. I think the Doral is to small for me and i think it's a little wrong boats because they didn't have HT or FB boats. I want a boat i can use inn all weather. You know, here in Norway - one day, its really hot, another day, its little cold and raining. I can just close the door at the Meridian and feeling me at home. I have TV's, 7,3kW (!!!) (It's normal with 2-3kW in Norway) generator, autopilot, TV satellite, thrusters, ice maker, +++.. Its just an another boat. Its' like a home if you understand.. :)

I will maybe buy a Doral again if they release a flybridge boat..
