You using cabosil for fairing ? Yeah some tough sanding for sure . Glass bubbles are your friend ..
Lord this is like Dejavoo ... My arms are hurting and it feels like the folded paper just slipped from my hand and jammed my finger nail ! I hate when that happens !

Not for fairing sam, but i swiped all the screw holes and seams with it when I was gluing it all up...Im using bubbles for fairing, the redish brown mix with some cabosil in it for verticals.

I still have a ton of sanding left, but taking a break til my hands clear up a bit, Im allergic to it :(

Does Glen-L provide assistance with what to expect from the inspection? That could help.
Cheers

I got the list from DMV, they also want ALL receipts for all components, to make sure the parts werent stolen, i guess ill have to put all the screws i jacked from Kcassels shed back :D

I figure ill just print out this thread ad show it to them.

You didn't get a receipt from the guy on the street corner you bought parts from? I always insist.

I can write you a receipt.... only cost you a few$

lol, thanks!....looks like Ill be editing out some pages from the thread before I give it to the PoPo ;)

Im guessing it will be a non issue for a plywood skiff, they are probably most concerned with boats with lots of hardware and gadgets, or the guys that try to pass by a factory built boat with no title.

All ill really have on this is bow and stern eyes, a battery, lights, and some hinges for the seats......

They call it a safety inspection and an investigation, so i guess i need everything i would need like a spot check, throw ring, horn or whistle, at least one life jacket, maybe an anchor...

Didn't work on the boat this week, still waiting for the epoxy rash to go away, usually takes a week, then I can go at it again.

So I continued putting pine on the shop walls, and started building the wall cabinets.

This is what epoxy sensitivity looks like after years of working with composites.

Gloves dont help, and I always use them, there is one specialty glove West recommended, but I lost the link lol...the big dowside is the admiral always knows when im working on the boats, and not my chores :D

Was that from the dry powder or from getting wet epoxy on your hands ?
Does poly do the same ?

Both wet and dry Sam, but sanding is worse...funny thing is, after a week, you never know it was there. Its the hardener, I can pick up a sticky epoxy resin bottle bare handed without incident....Not a problem with poly so far.

Im just allergic to it is what they say....
