In the 3rd pictore this "hole", I put the water hose to it and it went right to the bilge area, looks like there is a cap missing? Sorry for my ignorance, as I said I didnt do the research that I should have prior to getting into boating.
That's where the bilge pump pumps water out it should never be capped as it should never be below the waterline.
The one in picture 4 not sure what that one is.
Im not sure what that one is either, it has one like that on both sides but putting a water hose to it water just comes back out, so not sure,
On the 3rd pic I never remember seeing that capped, I bet that along with the messed up livewell hoses, is what pulled me under,
That boat looks like it needs an enormous dose of TLC. Good Luck!
hey yes motor was always down while in water,,,I was able to lift it up b 4 pulling it in,,,

I didn't realize it was an outboard.
You seem to be very heavy in the stern.
Your answer indicates the engine does not have hydraulic Trim.
Moving the trim pin Down would lower the Bow.

wow what a mess. the holes in the sides near the rear. top one is biege pump, bottom one is live well over flow (its the larger one) if you put water in there it will go to the bilge as you have already proven that the live well pipes have fallen off so the water will drain out of the live well. right side rear hole should be live well drain. left side is the fill pump. as noted the right side looks wrong like the outside plastic has broken and thats sealing the transom so that may be a problem, the spashwell drain looks the same way which surgests that the transom got wet and swollen to the point it snapped the thru hull fittings. i would surgest removing all the hull fittings then stick ya fingers in the holes and see if you fell hard wood or mush. also see if the bottom bolts that hold the motor to the transom are loose as this will be a indicator that the transom is in poor shape.
Hey, OK so by doing this (lowering the bow) what will it accomplish?
it does have hydraulic trim its just not working right now Ive gotta get a motor for it..
... It would stand straight up when full throttle was on and wouldn't go anywhere very fast, slowly it would trim itself out and drive correctly...
OK here's what you need. you need an experienced boater--both in operations and maintenance of old boats--to goover everything with you. If you don't have any friends who qualify, hire one. Pay a boat mechanic to come out there; you will find things you will need to him to do I'm sure.
Know your own limitations; even the handiest guy can't fix everything and at some point, your whole boat, and the lives of its passengers, are at stake.
As you now see, boating is a combination of a hundred bits of knowledge. trying to get them one by one here. willy nilly, is not a good way to go. Now that you are getting specific in your descriptions, plus pictures, you are starting to get meaningful help, but there are a lot of gaps to fill in.
