UGH!!! Now a Johnson CD-12 and a 1958 Evinrude 3hp. And, officially, can not park in the garage anymore. may have to move some more inside.

Is it wrong to buy another 1/2 inch box end wrench because you already have one? Is it wrong to buy more than one box of breakfast cereal? Is it wrong to buy a second car if you already have one in the garage? Having more than one of anything is certainly ok. Except -- you may upset someone if you have more than one wife and in some cases more than one lady friend. Up here in the tundra we have a radio talk show that centers around the "garage". That show measures your "worth" based on your "CI" which stands for Cylinder Index. The more cylinders you have total, the higher your CI. So go for it and raise you CI to new heights.

You're looking for a 1956 johnson 15hp, I believe. It was a one year only motor. I'd love to have one, too!!!
I finally found myself a nice 3hp yesterday---a folding ducktwin with 90psi/90psi. Yes---collecting old outboards can be a problem. :)

look what followed me home.
first up is a 1946 td20 with original owners manual and hang tags. has compression but a carb issue (leaks to all heck) it was so greasy. original paint and condition. all i did was shoot a few coats of clear to preserve the decals

i also ended up getting a 89 evi, 1989 15 hp. might have 20 hours but that would be pushing it. original owner with owners manual and reciept (he paid 1435.00 in 1990 on clearence sale)

That is a super nice TD20, and I think you made a perfect choice to clean it up and clearcoat it. You can get some new gaskets for that carb from Lloyd at aomci.org, I believe.

You should read this. Lloyds contact info is in the link at bottom. He sells the leather washers. He is a wealth of knowledge on these T and H series motors. He would likely love a pic

Basic Carburetor Servicing Johnson H and T Series
