thanks for all the replies.
i sold my 72 20/25 hp johnson for 600.00.
bought the td 20 for 100.00 thought it was a good price, and i could not say NO....i mean when do you find a tank thats not all dented? it was like a holy grail.....

then there is that evi. 89 with a nice tank, it needs a impeller and a little carb work. did a quiky clean of the carb and it idles. i paid 500 for the evi, thats the most i have ever paid for a motor. sold one early this fall for 600 and always regretted selling that. now i have a cleaner one starts good just doesnt want to slow idle. idles perfect with my older 15 carb. is it just the stupid plastic carb? that creates off idle issues?

Is it wrong to have 7 motors in the garage and then buy another? Yes! You are a sick man.

My wife was complaining that I have too many motors, but I don't see how she can complain. I have them all out of sight in a closet, and she never can smell any solvent in the house.
Yes, I know the 9? needs to have the gearcase resealed. When that picture was taken I had only recently bought it from an older gentlemen. No doubt some monafilament has damaged to propshaft seal.

The Evinrude is hidden behind the door, while the Johnson 15 was wheeled out of the closet for that photo. Since then I've added a decent Elto 5 to the closet and a parted Viking 5 is stashed in another. I also have 4 dual line pressure tanks and 3 other single line non-pressure tanks away from the house.

Dkonrai, that is a nice assortment of motors you've got. That TD looks awesome, especially for being original. The clearcoat was a good move; I assume it is acrylic enamel? You can spray enamel over lacquer, but not the other way around.

After looking at so many collectors and all those outboards, I also feel a little sadness as well. It is nice to see that these engines didn't go to the landfills, but it is equally sad to see them just setting there when they would love to be in the water and used like they were built for... Idle time on any engine is worst then not being used. So while they are nice to collect, they still are not being used... Many many years from now when the present owners are long gone, their collections will either be sold or given away for little to nothing and they all could be put into service now and enjoyed their usefulness they were built for...but to each their own... I know there is much enjoyment out of collecting those OBs too...

you have a nice collection as well. love that 56 johnson, as well as that td. i shot it with duplicolor motor clear. i dont know what the chemical composition of the paint. i just wanted to preserve the motor. i have shot a few motors this way, cleans up the paint and gives it a shine.

I only have 5 + 2 trolling motors does that count?

Also one just left for a new home and was also replaced by another.
