I could never understand the societal fascination with actors. Good or Bad.

I just don't think much of anyone that spends their entire life portraying something they are not.

Why we give these people status as experts on everything is beyond me.

I prefer a good book. I can imagine better than any director could ever put on film.

I'm going to see Valkyrie. I'm not going to boycott him because I like his movies for the most part. I don't dislike him because hes a scientologist. I dislike him for the interview with Matt Lauer where he stated to have psychiatric knowledge and that depression as a sickness doesn't exist. Hes a moron and it doesn't have anything to do with his religion.

I have always been a "do what you do and be who you are" type of person. I could care less what religion you are, if you are Democrat, republican, gay straight, Pro gun, anti guns, pro life, pro choice, vegitarian etc. JUST DONT TRY TO SELL ME ON IT. I have my views, you have your views and lets leave it at that. Part of this great country is freedom of choice and part of that is YOUR freedom of choice right along with MY freedom of choice. I wont try to sell you my emotional baggage and dont try to sell me your emotional baggage. as soon as you cross the line and go for the sale, you go on the "how bout no" list.

Tom Cruise the Actor is great...

Just my opinion, but I couldn't disagree more -- he can play one character, the spoiled brat, which makes him the logical choice for the roles he played in Rain Man and Top Gun.

I just think it's hilarious to see him standing there in the eye patch trying to "act" serious.

Couldn't possibly care less about what he says or does or thinks otherwise.

Not that i would know this from first hand experience mind you, but actors and ladies of the night, have the same thing in common, give them enough money, they will be anything you want them to be. Ha.

We don't discuss religion here, either.

Idiot, semi brain dead or whatever. The guy can act. Acting is what he gets paid for. My wimmin say he is also awfully pretty.

If I boycotted every actor I disagreed with on something I would be stuck with The Duke, Heston, and very few others.

It's winter and most of us can't use our boats. We are a frustrated bunch and so far we have only taken it out on poor Tom (and his profession). How much longer can we endure winter before we have a full scale posting riot on our hands??

Does anyone remember Chuck's movie debut? I can not remember the name of the movie but, Bruce Lee starred in it and he and Chuck met at some type of stadium, not in the arena, in a corridor. Anyways, Chuck got bounced. For the age of the film, it was an awesome fight scene.
