ok i am gonna reopen the thread,,,,,,,,
all my rgb's are installed and working correctly, however i do have an extra section that i want to be able to turn on and off(only when everything else is on),,,, so i got a theory on how to do it,,, but i wana see what everyones thinking.
at the end of a run i want to add a section that will light up my white transom.
i have a tall rail to mount on, and a channel to bury them(from other boats view),,,,,, so my thought here is to use my connecter to splice in the 4 wires, but run the black one to a simple on/off switch before proceeding to the new section.
i believe the black wire is the ground and the others are the positives so if i take the ground away from the new addition it should not light up,,,,,, what do you guys think?
also if this theory is correct you could shut off any section with a switch on the black wire that would bypass the ground past the switched section and reattach it to the next section. ,,,,,,,,,, not sure but i am thinking now that enable to bypass a section(in the middle of a run) you would need a switch( in proper position) on both sides of the bypassed section to isolate the ground from the omitted section

not sure if i worded that understandably,,,
but whadyatink
