So what? She is entitled to her opinion. What does this have to do with every other liberal? Do you think every liberal wrote her a letter asking her to express this? Do you think every lib supports this? Rediculous!

You must think libs are like the conservatives. You know, conservatives all think alike and follow one thought regardless of who came up with it. Let me shed some light here for you rick, libs don't follow blindly.

To those of you taking offense, calm down. My point is to show rick just how stupid it is to label one person and then somehow justify giving it to others for no other reason than party affiliation. Behar doesn't know what she is saying. She brings up Hitler simply because he is someone to hate. The problem is that she has no apparent idea why she hates either one of them, except that it is a popular liberal mantra to hate W and his gang.

No, that doesn't mean all Liberals agree on that, or anythjing else for that matter.

Sort of funny that CJY, in the same post, denies that libs all think the same and follow a "party" line and accuses the conservatives of doing exactly that. Who is the pot and who the kettle, CJY?

"The View"? This chick's from "The View"? Glad I read the responses before I wasted my energy on my mouse clicker. Just as insignificant as what Pat Sajak had to say awhile back, whatever that was. And likely just as forgetable. zzz

But I have to agree with CJY about a lot of comments I see on a regular basis. As if Rush Limbaugh was wired directly to a lot of brains around here.

It's too bad Marconi's invention only carries sound. If it ducted all the actual hot air that spews forth from Limbaugh, a lot of people could keep their homes very warm all winter.

It seems to me that the Conservative mindset is frequently in lockstep with the party line whatever it may be. Wheras Liberals tend to be independent thinkers. Maybe that's why the Left has a hard time congregating into a unified voice, and the Right is more able to create one.

Pound your chest about the moral superiority, (for hardened liberals, your intellectual superiority, morals can't be defined) of one view over the other.

But if you are looking for disgusting, self centered, hateful debate, the liberals provide far more to work with than the conservatives. See the John Connor thread. They frequently invoke Hitler, (please google hitler and see how he stacks up to anyone in any administration in the past 100 years or so) even though it is of course meaningless and misapplied. Please point to the TV network newscast/talkshow/entertainment vehicle of a conservative network (If you can even find one) that has called Hillary - Stalin. Or any liberal for that matter and then laughs about it.

Try this, "the chick is an idiot, what do you expect."

Of course this will probably make Al Jezzera to further enbolden our enemy, but hey, She's supporting the troops......

Hmmmm . . . A few things come to mind. An awful lot of women watch that show, so I think it is significant. It is often on in the background here, while Mrs. QC is doing her thing, while I am here working hard on iboats and sneaking in a little real work. Joy Behar has proven herself to be a knucklehead more than once. I have to give The View a little credit though as Baba Wawa is actually pretty fair if you ask me, and the only hot one is reasonably conservative. I have noticed for a long time that usually conservatives on CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN and the BBC are ugly, and liberals are less so. Funny to note the visual difference between Hannity and Colmes on Fox . . . And last, what was Star Jones doing there, I thought they sent her packin'?

Significant...very possible. But...

how is Behar expressing her views on tv any different from Rush expressing his over the radio? Seriously, they pay for their time and are supported by their networks and fans.....evidently. Watchers/listeners can flip the channel/station if they don't like the expressed opinions. I wonder why they call it, "The View." Seems silly to title it that and then not allow it.

Personally, when I don't like what I am hearing/seeing, I don't scream they should not be allowed to do or say those things I dislike. I simply tune to something else.

I don't think the Rush-Behar thing is different at all. I also think that equating a normal, run-o-the-mill liberal to an evil-communist-dictator is wrong . . . I am not a Rush listener so I have no idea if he does that, but she clearly made the Hitler-Rumsfeld idiotic leap. Some will recall that harmonica and I had a really good thrashing over a similar leap. I am pretty sure you helped CJY

I just haven't yet had a link to a Limbaugh sound bite that substantiates any of this. I don't get to hear him very often, but when I have I haven't heard him do anything like what was done on the view.

I am sure with almost twenty years on the radio that there would be hundreds or thousands of examples available of Limbaugh doing what so many try to associate him for doing. How about a little help here.

Agreed. I don't watch or support "The View." Did you mean to say lib though? Rush is hardly "run-o-the-mill".

I remember the jimonica thing, but I don't think I ever agreed with the leap made there either. I simply supported the right to say it, inflammatory as it may have been. If I remember correctly, his reference was a response to a general statement about dems.

No, I would expect INTELLEGENT people regardless of political stripe to have more respect for our troops. The ramifications of this retarded statement may never be able to be proven, then if that is the case that this is not motivating a person to some position, why say it? She was looking for brownie points from her audience and guess what, it didn't work.

If I was given the responsibility and the priveldge of a megaphone to the mass's, (Television) I would be sure to measure my words so as to not get people killed. Or even provide the prospect of getting someone killed, or recruiting someone to kill someone else. It's not an issue of rights, it's an issue of common decency and being able to understand that my need for applause doesn't outweigh the mission of the men and women she proports to support. NOT.

My guess is she still can't understand why people aren't rolling in the isles over her little cowardly comment.

Its not about rights, its about responsibility. Why can't I yell fire in a crowded building, you can't prove people would be hurt. With rights comes responsibility and when we don't hold people who are suppose to be more "enlightened" than the rest of us to even a marginal level of responsibility we are playing with rights as if we were little babies with a new rattle and not informed, educated members of one society.

QC, that is what I would do. But some think the right to run their mouths is greater than the rights of those who actually put it on the line to give them that right. And then celebrate that right to put them in harms way.
