Here's mine from 8 years ago. It was easier than what you had to deal with because it was a complete OEM marine engine that just needed new cylinder heads...I half expected it not to start, when it started immediately I was a bit shocked!
Nice work and congrats on sticking it out to completion.
Thanks, but as said this motor was bought all in pcs so i was really really worry about it.Cautious decisions are always rewarded most times.
Gasoline engines are not a pile of random LEGO parts.
This is true , all this post fortunatelly help all the people also in the future. Especially valves issue, because i could not find a cleare solution on internet before, so now if someone eill look on it they will find itJust remember if you are doing this, it helps a person who just pulled a 4.3 out of someone's old S-10 Blazer or pick up and just wants to get their boat in the water. All the questions lead to learning which helps others which is really the point of these forums!
Looking this picture it just come in mind when first time i had an issue with my omc ( old owner told me that riser were good just one year old, instead they were damaged and my head got damaged too. That time i payd one mechanic to do the job, now i would do it for sureI remember looking at this thinking....ahh....first time I ever took a real engine apart....not sure if this is going to go all back together....but it did!
