Re: Man vs. Boat (season 1).
Nice work Patrick, looks like you are making some progress with your transom battle. You will be glad you put together the wiring diagram.....it will save you a bunch of time later on. I color coded mine, yellow for lights, blue for instrument wires, etc....!
Hey Arch, Thanks! As always, appreciate the feedback. Yeah, the wiring diagram is just a beginning sketch to try and learn how everything works together. Still very fuzzy on that.... Hopefully, it will "click" as I start working through it more. I plan on doing a computer-generated, color-coded one at some point.
Great vids.
Your work shows how much effort and time you put into figuring out how to rework your transom. Always like seeing a plan work out right.
Thanks for the vids and keep up the great work.
Thanks Kent - appreciate you stopping by. Thanks for the kind words.
Can't believe you are flatening out the transom like that....
Just hate to see you change the shape of a classic hull design. The curved transoms on the Chris Crafts really adds to the appeal of the boat imo.
Hang in there with me CC - I have thought obsessively about this transom for about a month (even dreamed about it), and this is the only approach that made sense to me... Hopefully, it will blend and not be noticeable...
Looking good Patrick. I should be to the transom stage here in the next month or so (hopefully) Your videos are motivating anyway
Thanks man, glad you stopped by and glad you are enjoying the vids.
Bear and OJ and Jason: Thanks so much for the words of support and vote of confidence. I am pretty confident in the route I am heading as the best option among difficult choices... One reason I am committed to it is I can sort "visualize" how I want to it to work out and can sort of visualize the steps needed to get there. I think having confidence in the approach will give me a better chance of success.
I agreed with you guys that an iboats gathering would be epic!!! Let's pick a central location and make it happen... I'd be all over it.
Let's see we got Wisconsin, MS, Michigan, Texas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, the Maratimes, and British Columbia... (among others).. Okay, may be tough, but we can dream.... Maybe when Arch launches that party barge????
