92% not bad for a failing memory,the pulley ones got me stable or unstable and force needed...oh well good little test anyways

And YEP, ! got a problem with 26 too..seems all the bulbs have power me

Electricity takes the path of least resistance. It flows through the switch (essentially 0 ohms) rather than the resistance in the bulb.:)

But it is a parallel circuit and the resistance is divided. The light will come on, but it won't be nearly as bright as the other two.

Okay, there will still some current flowing through bulb but not enough to heat the element. The current flow is not divided by two. It is divided by the ratio of the resistances. If the switch even has a resistance of 0.01 ohm and the bulb has a resistance of 1 ohm. The switch would flow 100 times more of the available current than the bulb (which would have only 1/100th of the current).:)

Oh I got smoked! Was doing great up to the pulleys. 60% ouch! I haven't had physics in over 15 years!

It's o.k. I'm wrong anyway. In a parallel circuit the total circuit resistance is somewhat lower than the lowest resistance value. Close the switch, the light goes out. That was the only one I screwed up by the way, and I did all of them in my head in about 10 mins. So much for feeling like an idiot because I'm just a lowly car mechanic, Dad.

Don't sell yourself short. I just retired at 53. Worked on cars (electronics part only) for the last 13 years and worked on boats for 14 years before that.

74% Ouch!!

Luckily, I am 14, so I have a bit of time to improve. I can tell 3 right off, that I know I got wrong, and I know why, and it was completely careless. One of them being one of the pulley problems. I saw 100kg a couple times, and worked one, assuming it was 100kg. Then, as I was hitting submit, I noticed that it was 50kg, but it was too late. Another 2, were on vocabulary, where I was hustling through it too fast, and accidentally hit the wrong one, and hit submit just as I noticed it. After the second one of those, I stopped, and made myself slow down.

I haven't found the answer key, so I will probably retake it tomorrow, and see how much better I do, if I slow down, and think.

I am fairly confident on the gear, pulley, and lever problems. I tend to do well on those, but have never really been interested in electrical, so I don't believe I did great there.
