Re: my 68 Starcraft Holiday project

LOL HA I wish Kev had splashed her already. JimC and Kev and I have been working out a wiring issue that has kept the old Holiday from firing recently . We think we got it figured out last night while chatting and hopefully we will have video today of the old girl running like a champ :D. By the way HA you need to get an MSN or Live messenger account and Join us for chat one night :D.

Rick

I'd imagine the advantage there is that iboats protocol doesn't apply:D

%&$^# wiring %&$^*!?!:mad

Easier to vent without having the mods get involved:D

Hope ya get that figgered out Kev...you are getting into prime boating season down there right?

...while we are getting ready to check the oil on our ice fishing augers up here to be able to get some lines down:D

Re: my 68 Starcraft Holiday project

so did you fire her yet kev?

Funny that you ask Andy....

At exactly 6:25 PM EST, we have IGNITION

A big thanks to all that have been trying to help me..You guys dont know Nlain, but he's an iboat buddy I met at the Florida get together last year (even tho he's one of them Georgia Boys) He IM'd me this afternoon and simply asked if I had sand papered the points..DOPE..

A little scuffing and his hot wire to the coil trick and she fired..

No worries Kevin, just small details now. Carb kits and the like are easy jobs.

That sounds just like a 3.0L boat engine. :D Sounded like it is running pretty good. Now you can finish this project up and go get it wet.

Re: my 68 Starcraft Holiday project

Hey Kevin, get all the parts, pull the carb, disassemble, put in cleaner to soak, pull lower unit, replace impeller, reinstall lower unit, get carb, wash cleaner off, install kit, install carb, done in a day. :D
