Re: Need help with transom repair w/pics
I just wanted to throw this out there, but check JDA's thread, & rather then 2 jump seats & a center console w/ a glovebox lid, make a splashwell that fits between 2 jump seats.
Fuel under starboard seat & battery under port seat (which ever is heavier under port) make the seat bottom a lid. If you make a continuous front 'apron' from hull to hull, you'd also enclose under the splashwell and have additional storage reachable through a door or hatch in the face or by lifting either seat bottom and reaching through......
Paint/graphic wizard I am not:
There would probably need to be a small area built out along the seat backs to give you a place to run steering & throttle cables to the motor, I didn't show that in my re-work of JDA's pix. That would make your storage area bigger.
Just a thought.......
Also kind of depends on how you'll use the boat, sitting & cruising, just you, you + 3-4 people, 1 5-6gal gas tank w/ a 2-3gal spare, long range cruises 15+ gals. A tank that big might be too big to 'hide' under the seats & splashwell.
When Teamster pops by your thread, the new jump seat/splashwell layout give you a real nice place to sit & run a tiller arm.....
