I drove down to the boat yard earlier this week, she was calling my name. Hopefully it will be a mild winter and I can get in her to start some projects and take a few pictures.

I'm here, can you see/hear me? I drove past my snow covered boat again today AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH WHEN is spring coming people? I need to get out on the water so I can gain some sanity back maybe then my wife will be a little kinder to me :redface:

How much snow do you have in Chatham ??? anything we had has gone already. I am sure there will be a load more coming though !!!

Beer Nuts !!!!! Sounds more like a medical condition !!!!!! you can most likely get some oitment for that !!!! LOL :

We have and or had 3-4" and I see more on the way for Thurs. and Fri. as well :facepalm: Am I ever going to be able to get my boat out . All I have to say is HURRY UP WARM WEATHER AND GET HERE REALLY FAST!!!!

And about thoses beer nuts Ken ........kinda salty for my tastes

Wife and I are all signed up for our interviews for the NEXUS cards... I go the 13th and she goes the 21st of Jan. Makes it a lot easier to get back and forth over the borders, easier with the boat as well I hear.
Hope you had a good new years party, mine was real real relaxed just watch the tv, veged till after 12 and then went to bed like a good lil boy

Lol, yeah, i think the appropriate antidote to the dreaded beer nuts is beer (kinda like snake venom is for snake bite)
Too much time off the water does things to your brain >.< (That might explain what's happening to this thread)

Yes you told me that but too far for me to go.
I almost didn't make it home yesterday was on the 401 just west of London in a snow storm going up and down in speed had just moved to the right lane and then I saw a car go threw the medium towards my truck cut across the left lane and back into the center medium missing me by a few feet. The drivers face was white and his eye and mouth were WIDE open. I'll bet he had to clean his shorts out after that one.

Not much fun for travelling right now is it. We have a plant in Guelph that I will have to visit quite soon. going to check the weather forecast before I pick the day to go.

Why there's hardly any snow here in sunny Oshawa, got a couple of inches. Quite a bit more 30kms north where my Doral is hibernating.

I think I might just go and do some day dreaming about this summers boating season a little early as it is kinda cold out there.

This threads gotten quiet, sooooo, here's a pic of my Doral from yesterday. Now, a sharp eye will notice that the boat immediately in front of it is a 1986 Doral Tara and to the starboard side is a 1988 Bayliner 28' Ciera (notice that I didn't make a rude comment about the Bayliner )

Hopefully not long till the snow melts !!!! our Doral is tucked up at one side of the house and the travel trailer on the other side. I will get a couple of photos to post.
On another topic, we have a major snowstorm coming through on Tuesday night so I hear. How about you guys ???

Are you all in hibernation over there?
I thought you'd all be fired up, polish in hand getting ready for the new season!
Or are you still getting that 6th coat of oil onto the teak?
As soon as I have some photos I am going to start a thread on custom changes made to our boats that have been done or considered. There are so many great ideas out there that should be shared.

Guess what people???? I took my boat out today .......... just one little catch though.................I took it in to get the tops made higher as I am 6' 6" and 5'5" just didn't cut it for me! I got a lot of funny looks from other drivers on the road... you know kinda like "is he nuts or what?" LOL no I''m not but it sure got the old juices running to get out on the watrer ASAP

Too funny,
I use my boat all through winter but not when its -11 C.!!! We average 16C in the middle of winter here so the only change to our useage relates to swimming.
I switch from beer to red wine and swimming to fishing.
