Willy's not been paying much attention to this one. I'm not much of a Hillary fan. I see her as a divider just like Dubya, just in the other direction.

............ Where's Willy and or Tree?

Were hear laughing our axx off, who says that we would vote for Hillary? Don’t know about Willy, but as for myself if the choice was for her, as opposed to an unnamed Senator from the western part of the country, I would hold my nose and vote RepuG.

But given the choice of Edwards, for pres, And for his running mate Obama, the repugs might as well stay home.

Since you just posted Tree, how about a quick list of qualifications and accomplishments that attracts you to Obama and Edwards? This is not to be inferred that there are any extensive lists of accomplishments by the current field of Republicans that makes me energized or encouraged.

Re: Oh Hill, your slip is showing.

Qualification number one, they never have been a Governor of any state. Just might give them a heads up on foreign policy. Qualification number two I think that they are the most electiable of the current Dems.

It’s a long time till the election, haven’t set anything in stone yet, in my opinion I don’t think Gore is out of the race, just standing by to let some of the smoke clear. He will have plenty of money when he enters the race which I think will be about another month.

OK got my flak jacket on fire away.8)

Based on that answer, I think you would make a good politician. d:)

Your support of these candidates is based on their non-accomplishments. Interesting.

Re: Oh Hill, your slip is showing.

So, do I know democrats will do better....no I don't, but I have trouble believing they will do worse. I, unlike so many of you, are not hoping for it either.

So your position at this time seems to be more on faith and keeping your fingers crossed.
And since you believe they can do no worse,
embracing a socialist even on faith enables the possibility of giving you a socialist form of government.

An incompetent government is already proveing to be less damaging and more short lived than an aggressive socialist government would provide.

I still find it very interesting so many of you republicans scream support your Prez, but you only say it, you don't practice it by supporting any other than those on your side of the fence.

Again to set the record straight I'm a registered American Independent and I'm a hardcore Constitutional conservative.
Bush is no hero of mine.

No it’s based on historical facts, in my opinion the last president that accomplished anything in foreign policy was President Nixon (gag) the rest were bumblers when it coame to foreign policy including President Regan, what a coincidence that they were all Governors, I think not. I am not including President Ford in this mix, as he just occupied the seat for a short time. He continued the pattern set by president Nixon on foreign affairs, IE New limitations on nuclear weapons, and helping to broker the peace agreement between Egypt, and Israel which I might add is holding up rather well.

Re: Oh Hill, your slip is showing.

Come on tree,

I asked for a list of their accomplishments that qualifies them and you came up with:

A: They have no experience
B: They are democrats

You answered my question. Based on this list you are a Hillary Supporter. 8)

No, I would not say my current position has anything to do with faith. Rather, it has to do with the knowledge I have regarding W, and where he has taken the USA. In November, my push was for the democrats. Why you might ask, because a republican in the WH and a congress full of them was proving to be bad for our country.

I never said I would vote Hillary or anybody else for that matter. In 2008, I will make my presidential selection as I always have. I will pick the one I feel is best for myself and this country. Which side of the fence that person happens to be standing will be irrelevant.

You want me to vote for Hillary, simple, just throw ole Jeb into the mix. Unless that happens, my mind has not yet been made up.

I have only ever voted a straight ticket once in my life, and I highly doubt I will in 2008. That is, unless the candidates provide me with reason to. I am also an independent, I just get tired of repeating it. Mind-readers tend to call me everything except a republican due to my dislike for W. That is fine, I don't really care. It does not mean as much as I once thought it did.

The final quote was not directed toward you skinny. I apologize if you believed it was. Rather, it was directed toward all those screaming about the Bush haters, while showing plenty of hate themselves.

I recieved this today and have been looking for a place to post it. This looks as good as any.

Being Republican Today You Have To Agree With The Following:

Jesus loves you and shares your hatred for homosexuals and Hillary.

Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him;

a bad guy when Bush's daddy made war on him;

a good guy when Cheney did business with him;

a bad guy when Bush needed a "we can't find Bin Laden" diversion.

The United States should get out of the United Nations and our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.

The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches while slashing veterans benefits and combat pay.

A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our long-time allies, then demand their cooperation and money.

They used to say that the older you got, the wiser you became. I see ample evidence to the contrary. After a lifetime of plenty, fat and sassy Americans seem to go soft. They choose whatever path sounds the kindest, seemingly causes the least resistance or promises them the most free goodies. They grow into old age with a mental backbone as riddled and weak as their ostioporosis afflicted physical backbone.

Interesting. My highly conservative father once said "If you arn't a liberal when you are young, you don't have any heart and if you arn't conservative when you grow old, you don't have any sense." Of course there is another way to look at it called "I've got mine and to heck with every body else".
