Re: pic of work so far

Same here....long day...wow! There was still a guy out when I got back to my shop at 8pm! Sad thing is, tomorrow is a light day for work, and only 2 jobs being sanded for Saturdays work...hopefully there will be enough work to round out this week...I hate working OT hours during the week only to get shorted at the end and not get the OT pay.

It's supposed to be crummy here all weekend, so even if I want to get on the boat I probably won't be able to.....grrrrr!

Ha! So much for the easy day. Done @ 6:45pm! Full day of work tomorrow. Fine by me, I need the money.

If the weather is decent, I might go pick up my Tinny from storage on Monday though. Gotta discuss boat repair life with the wife and start acquiring material.

Jserb got his boat painted, you still have a chance to keep pace with him since you don't have the horrendous rigging job to do, and you know your boat runs! ;)

I thought it was police tape ( do not cross ):D

How far am I? I dunno. Half day drive I'd imagine since I'd have to circumnavigate Wisconsin ;) Probably be faster to get through customs and drive across to Canada and back down than evading all the tractors on the highways, er...goat paths.

Look me up, I'm in Isanti, MN. I'm 40 minutes north of Highway 94.

I just took a peek. I'm 725 miles from Detroit, but only 500 from Cheboygan. Which is closer? I'm hoping Cheboygan! I get to avoid Chicago that way!

Nope, not horrible. Probably be around a hundred in gas round trip if I went the distance. If I were to drag my Tinny, it wouldn't be so bad on gas...the Glastron ( once finished ) would drag the gas mileage down a bit ;)

Re: pic of work so far

Most likely I'll be pulling it with a GMC Jimmy. I know it'll be able to handle towing it with the 4.3 vortec. It's got 25ft/lbs more torque than my Dakota has and my Dak only likes 3rd gear pulling just the hull behind the boat. The extra weight of a motor and fuel is going to be felt even more....the tandem axel trailer isn't a lightweight either. I may have to bring the whole works to a scale and see how much the beast weighs in at.
