OHH Last night was out on her till about 9, after work , I made some more holes !!! Yep told steve when I did the other hole in the transom with epoxy , I didnt do the U-Bolts !! so drilled then out filled the with epoxy and put the lamps on them to bake them !! Well on the one side I put the lamp to close and the duct tape let loose on one of the holes !!! #$@#@@@@$$$$%^^^%$$ I will post some pics after work today !!!

Man after all that I was beat last night !! Ok more after work !!! John

Ok all here is a few of the pics of the holes i filled !!!! Man I was thinking about how long the transom is going to last,and lets just say, 50 years and it still will be solid!!!!! if some one doesnt wreck her frist , thats the only way she wont make it that long !!!!!

this frist pic is of the starboard side , the top hole filled and the bottom was sucked in some where it didnt leak out any where , that i can find !!!

this next pic is the port side you can see where the heat from the lamp melted the tape , glad i went back out there in about 10 mins , it all would have leaked out !!! It was the oppsite on this side , top one leaked and bottom held !!! In the splash well there was a 1/8 half moon sixe gap that didnt fill , I filled it tonight and one on the other side also !!

This next pic I though was petty cool, I have the one lamp under the splash well and you can see the light comming threw the holes i filled before !!!!!

and one just of the mutts helping last night !!! lol

On a side note this really stick , I got home yesterday and walked to the front door and the dang porch dropped !!! yea calling the insurance comp in the morning!!!

I am just going to tear it out and put a wood deck there !! Hay maybe I will use the stuff i used on my two outer stringers, that PVC decking !!! John

Dude not cool.. deck is easy.. you can bang that out in a weekend.

its looking good tho. you should get the sander i have.. its slow but no real elbow grease involved and it does a good job. check out my thread you can see the finished product

And also found out to night that the motor in the crownline is shot !!! Well My other brotherinlaw said it wasnt gettin any spark when he tried to get it going in the 90's !! But if its just spark it can be fixed !! Guess I will do a compression check frist thing on her !!

Yep I seen it there Zach , Its not the elbow grease its holding the dang thing hours on end !!! HAHAHA and just think man I us my hand all the time holding a Knife in my hand forr at least 8 hours a day !!!! LOL John

Yea right Steve you did it didn't yea ???? You were out there jumping up and down on it weren't yea ??? LOL It had to happen this weekend , and someone was home all weekend and nobody heard a thing !!!!

OK guys , I got out there for a while tonight !! I was grinding on the transom , getting all that epoxy off and cleaning up that TeX, where the top meets !!! I wanted to get some TeX on there tonight , But i gave up , there is about another hours Worth of grinding , before i can TeX !!! Then have to clean it so i can TeX it . So tomorrow I am going to get the grinding done and then clean it and TeX , then finish the rest of the hull !! maybe its a good thing my days off are Tue, Thursday , That way i can grind the transom Thur, !!! John

Yep your right Neil Its a 83, 60,000 On her, some jerk backed in to her this last summer , its not bad just needs to be bumped out and the hole thing needs painting, the paint they used in 83 was #### !! It never sat out in the sun till I got it always garage keep !!! and never seen snow ether !!OHH theres 3.8 in her !! John

On the porch I was thinking i could just foam under it !!! lol The only thing is that I dont know the lift to weight raito, for 8,000 lbs hahahaha

OK this was bugging me out there !!!! That is crazy coot with the nice ride to you brother !!!! hahahahahahhahahahahahaha

OK got that off my chest , lol It took about an hour and a half sanding and then getting her cleaned out , just got done Blowing the garage out and letting the dust settle.

Going to wipe her down a couple of times and then asetone , then tex her and get sanding the rest !!!!!!!!!! John

Hi all , well I didn't get to far today, Did get the transom and then was texing and Steve Stopped by , and Jeff must have passed him going down the road !!! lol


So I got her all texed and the lamps are on the transom. I hit the rest of the spots that i missed before , and I keep bumping wet spots so I gave it up for the night. Thur. I will be able to hit it hard !!!

I really slapped on a lot of TeX on the transom , around the top !!! and put a skim coat on the hole thing then went at it with my 14 inch dry wall knife !!!! Filled in a lot of the waves !! and also where the old u-bolts went threw , them spots were sunk in !! its petty flat now !!! I even add some more after you left Steve!!!
