hi bud......
i also noticed you said youhave different thicknesses of transom...
when you replace it.....make sure that the area around the drive is the same thickness....
this is called parrellism.......the inner transom must be flat and 2 ins thick to the outer transom....the outer transom must be parelell with the inner transom or yout out drive will leak.
this is really simple stuff....and if you use standard transpom building practeses...it wont be an issue
