The transom was a loss.
I am going to paint the inside of the hull with zinc chromate before I install the new transom. I don't have corrosion now, but i don't want any to start either. The boat will see some salt water use.
After I buck/replace all the problem rivets, should I coat the inside seams with gluv-it and then paint the inside of the boat? It makes sense in that order to me, but I am no expert.
Once the inside is painted, I want to install the new transom and pick the boat off the trailer to paint the outside of the hull. At the same time, I am going to do a quick restore on the trailer. I figure the transom should be in to give the hull some stiffness.
