Re: So what have YOU done?
Took care of landscaping, snow removal, and other basic maintenance of apartment building we were managing until age 18.

At 18, finished highschool and joined US Army for four years for the college money, That four years turned into eleven years, a divorce, a daughter that turns twelve this Halloween and a bankruptcy. During the eleven years in the Army I was:

M2 Bradley driver, Humvee driver, 2 1/2 driver, Dismounted Infantryman, M2 Bradley gunner, Instructor for M2 Bradley school, Master Driver, Company Training NCO (receptionist), Company urinalasys NCO, Battalion Reenlistment NCO, M2 Bradley Commander, Team leader, Squad Leader, the list goes on. Was going to retire and decided against it. I have been to Germany, Spain, France, Egypt, Korea, and in the States I was stationed in Georgia and Colorado. I am from California and have lived in Wisconsin, Washington State, Colorado, Georgia, and currently Idaho.

After the Army I worked for a year at Coldwater Creek packing dresses in boxes and sending them off to rich bored women. Pay sucked, but there were women as far as the eye could see and it was a grab-arse fest all day every day.

Got current job as exterminator, but besides pest control I am also the company mechanic, do real estate inspections, Bat removal, I plow snow in the winter, we also build and remodel houses, and do high end landscaping with retaining walls and big ponds with watefalls and all that. We are also rebuilding a huge houseboat with twin Chrysler 360 V8s. Pay is quite good, full benies, and I have no one looking over my shoulder.

I am currently on application awaiting a position on the local Police Force. That has been the job I have actually wanted for quite awhile. I applied in the spring of this year, and while I did very well according to the Chief, they hired an officer from another city. Makes sense. I was assured that if I left myself in the application pool that the odd were in my favor, so we will see on that.
