LOL Yes I started working on it today and first a few light rain drops then I could see the wall of rain coming down the valley

However, a great discovery today....... Interstate (yes, the battery people) has a store in town and they carry Marine Wire (the good tinned stuff!) They supply the marina with wire and now I am able to get it cheaper.

I spent the weekend in the rain working on and off changing the impeller in my motor, needed next Friday, only to triumph and then discover a gas leak at the filter when I started it up. No parts locally, now on order.Man=1, Machine=2!

thats the worst thing about living up here... no local parts. the few times i have gone "local" in plattsburgh or burlington have been really expensive after i factor in gas...

Oops, sorry to mislead....I was working on the motor that's actually gonna get me on the water this summer, '03 Merc 20. Believe it or not, some common Mercury parts hard to find locally at the confluence of the Hudson & Mohawk Rivers, have to resort to the internet.

The West Bend is long gone, having made me $300 back in the process!!

It's the Punisher symbol/logo and I did not order a V-4 Decal..... I had that on hand in cut vinyl so.... I filled in the blank space

Grrrrrrr frustration ...... Stupid me ....it's my fault

My shift and throttle cables are too short (way too short) so I went into the iboats store and ordered both cables.....

My engine is a 1983 so I ordered the cables for my motor ...... well the control box is an older one (pre-1979) and the cables are the wrong ones...... ALL MY FAULT

I ordered the correct ones and it is just another delay....

Just can't win sometimes........
