interesting irony i thunk of last night: a real great white is often as long as the boat and outweighs it by a LOT....i was having this nightmare vision of a love starved GW trying to mate with the boat.....

As well, know doubt that she prefers it NOT a boat shop and more of a place to dwell! But she also knows you are occupied with a good hobby --- one that keeps ya out of trouble (or close to it anyways)!!

no work last day or 2, EOKSTU is coming down Friday so i've been frenziedly purging and cleaning house. you'd hardly know the kitchen now, looks nothing like that last pic!

latter point is very true. when one is in a long term long distance relationship, it don't hurt to have a visible time sink (and pix of progress!) that is seen as keeping one away from the dreaded Other Women. in my case, not even needed as i never meet another woman who could hold a candle to her for what i want in a mate. but i let her think it helps, makes those big boxes from Defender go over better......

ironically, she cares lttle about boat work in the cocina....we both see this house as a place to fix up and rent/sell for income and/or moving capital. as long as we have clean counters to prep food on, she's good.

one thought on V-day.....people around here buy entire BOATS for what a dozen roses goes for this time of year. ......:lol:

You should buy roses up here where we don't have to plug our freezers in, I can almost but two StarCraft projects for the price of a dozen, I was threatened with beatings if I bought roses, as opposed to a rose plant that lasts forever.

and most importantly take good care of the respective Admirals.....all too easy to slip into failing to show our appreciation for the person who loves us despite our wayward tinhead ways and, in my case, gives me a reason to continue......i can hardly wait to show her the newly painted hull and swim step (she's part sea lioness and will like that part). i love y'all too but one positive word from her beats all your kind words!

yeah, i had a great one.

EOTSKU came down for 4 days and we were planning on getting some progress on the house and some on boat. it was not to be.....i spent the whole time in bed. nope, not cavortin.....lying there with alternating sweats and chills plus nausea. :fatigue: this bug is Of Doom, 3 weeks of antibiotics didn't kill it. didn't come in to work yesterday and shouldn't have today. felt too crappy yesterday to even go see my doc. may call him today and see if he thinks i should get on more antibiotics.

so....the only progress i've made in last 5 days has involved polishing the end caps for rub rail with baking soda, and a little slingin of varnish. i did get the design worked out for the "base" i'll need to build for the swingback bench seat, and found enough real marine 3/4" ply to build it. now if i just had some energy........... the Man in Brown also delivered the new 25 gal tank so i dropped it in for test fit. Moeller shows it as only being .25" deeper than the 18 gallon version, but it looks like a lot more in the flesh....i may be back to having to build a bridge over it.

this is so frustrating, since i'm at the point of being ready to rock n roll on many items and the weather is absolute perfection.
