Re: thinking about a new phone

Ya but iPhones are made with Aluminum. Everyone knows that aluminum is more durable than plastic.

Also Apples are just more stylish than robots. Everyone knows that. It's a fact.

Proprietary connectors are a security measure taken by Apple to prevent device theft. As we all know, when a thief steals an iPhone he looks at the connector and says "Aww shucks, I'll never be able to charge it" before carefully putting it back. This is a scientific law, I saw it in the "news".

All android users die. This is a fact. Why would you buy a phone which has a 100% death rate among its users?

You can't argue with this reasoning. I am the master of logic*.

You can't even come up with one feature can you?

The existence of Apples seem to pi$$ off the Android fans... That's a cool feature... :D

Really dude?
Four pages now of arguing IPhone VS Android.
Two undeniable conclusions can be drawn from this argument;
-You hate Apple products.
-Despite your passion on the subject, you're not going to change the minds of people who like Apple products.

You gotta ask yourself...
Do you really need to keep this redundant fight up to the fifth page? Victory in 5 ya think?

Have a drink... Maybe two... Relax!
It's not politics, or religon.....It's a damn phone!.... ;)

I know one thing about iphones. After people found that they could remove and replace the front screen after it cracked the first time they dropped it, the nice folks that make them IMPROVED the glue so now it is VERY HARD TO REMOVE......go figure . I think the reason for the new short life batterys..is It allows the cells towers to add on more customers because a large percentage will be off line all the time due to having them being on recharge...If you dont like it thats tuff because YOUR CONTRACT doesnt deal with this. Its going to be their way and you will pay (or have them ding your credit) Its just not worth it to me.

Once again somebody asked what phone to get...what is wrong with having a discussion about that? If you don't like it don't read it. I hate Apple products because they cost more and do not do anything that a cheaper phone can do. Apple limits their products on purpose just so they can charge more money! I think it's funny the Apple freaks will fight so hard for their phones but then they can't answer my simple question...what will the iphone do that an Android can't? Why do they argue so hard for an inferior product?

I do know a lot about cell phones. When somebody asks for advice on which one to get, should I tell them to get the cheaper one that does more, or the more expensive one that does less?

Yep, that's basically Apple's business model. Your expensive product should only last as long as the warranty...and you should buy a new one at full price after that.

No. Not even a little bit. Cell towers don't hold more people just because iphone users are charging their batteries. If you do make the mistake of buying a phone with a built in battery, you can change it any time you want within your contract, you just don't get another free/cheap phone.

Re: thinking about a new phone

This just gets better and better. I think you have to have both to comment in the first person. I've got all of them, brand new Android phone and past android phones, Iphone, Top of the line Ipad with data plan, and a very nice android tablet. I can't come up with a single benefit with the Iphone other than you can always get accessories for them anywhere and can come up with a big list of complaints. The android accessories both the tablet and the phone are not as readily available. The way apple limits stuff and uses their own chargers and no usb bugs me as well. I really don't think this is a chevy vs ford argument. More like a 1990's chevy against a 2000's Volkswagon.

Re: thinking about a new phone

BTW, like I said earlier, I have a friend who had to replace his 6 month old Note with the Note II as soon as it came out...at full price. I think that is stupid too and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. He can't really come up with anything his phone can do that mine can't, either. It used to have the newer OS, 4.2 vs 4.04...but now the old Note can be updated to the 4.2 as well. His phone has a quad core processor vs my note's dual core, but I'm not sure what applications really benefit from that? It also eats more battery...

Who would have thought that a cell phone would occupy the same space and generate the same arguments as "oil threads".

This post is closed until the original poster requests that it be re-opened. The past pages of bickering, name calling and stereo-typing are not the way we operate.

This thread has become "high maintenance" for the moderation staff. CLOSED.
