Right now I have enough things to think about, first I think I'm going with the gel. then I look at other options if I don't like the results.
OK folks,
Here are a few pic's from last weekend.
This one is from the stern to bow and I think you can see how flat she is.
I still have a little sanding to do on this side before it is completely done but for the most part this side is done. The areas that still have gel on them it's only a very thin layer.
The Strikes I will do by hand when the rest of the bottom is done.
I now have half the bottom done. This is taking me a lot longer then I expected. I did break out the old belt sander and that cut my time in half. You just have to be carefull or you could go to deep in a hurry.
I have a couple areas that really look strange. It looks like Carmel instead of reg. fiberglass. Tell me what you think.
Everything else looks normal.
One last pic,
This is my handy dandy gel thickness gage.
I will be home again this next weekend to enjoy some more sanding.
At least it is progress.
