More nice work Wayne. Just out of curiosity how many gals are your fuel tanks? On my Luhrs 28 they measure 18" dia. X 60" long, which I calculate should be almost 65 gallons each. I'm wondering if your 25' has the same tanks or smaller.

Didn't get much done this week, lots of rain and work is really putting a crimp on my personal life.

Re: Ulrichsen Alure 25 Flybridge

I know everybody has been dying to see how the step turned out

Here's the framework, it has a "1/2 fall front to back, the well is "3 deep and the rear member is concave so the water collects to the drain.

The plan is to make a removeable teak step that the water can run through into the well and have a small bilge area to collect and pump any water drained by the step

Furniture grade woodwork. It looks like everything is thought out and fits like a glove.

It's fun watching her take shape.

Re: Ulrichsen Alure 25 Flybridge

Thanks for the encourgament guys.

Everything seems to take 10 times longer to complete than it takes to figure it out. I'm thinking about the engine hatch now.

The aft deck will definately slope to the hull sides and to the deck drains but I really want a two piece removeable lid over the engine.
thinking about building the center drain into the door instead of having a removeable center section for a drain.

It's gotten hot here and the water is calling me, put this project on hold and am buffin up the bow rider for the 4th. The link to the bow rider buff up is here http://baylinerownersclub.org/forum/showthread.php?t=61030.

I promise I haven't been slackin, and am looking forward to a 2012 splash with the flybridge.

That's the right attitude........hit the water! You'll have the whole fall-winter-spring to work on your big boat.

Re: Ulrichsen Alure 25 Flybridge

Looks like you got the best of someone refitting their electronics. Good deal? I have a friend on the river that uses radar on an old commercial fishing boat. The radar is early generation but very handy at night. Lets see it in action when you get it up and running. I would love to have it myself on my big boat one day.
