Re: USCG Searching For Missing Football Players
My anchor has been stuck on several occasions in local lakes, Once I had to dive down to retrieve it (Grapple style) No biggie it was about 15 feet deep and I was wearing snorkle geat with a wife ready up top with a PFD if I needed it. My main anchor is now a "Retreiveable" style, it has always pulled up with little effort even after being "Stuck". Once we were out tubing, daughter was ready to get in so we stopped and brought in her and all the gear. When I tried to start the motor it cranked a few revs then stopped. I troubleshot it for a few minutes, no problems I could see so I cranked it again. I noticed the stern was down LOW and I KNEW what it was, I grabbed my always close razor sharp knike and jumped in the water and cut the rope off that was tied to someones old anchor that had gotten stuck, now wrapped around my prop. Someones stuck anchor ALMOST sunk us that day. I was a Boy Scout...I like to Be Prepared...
