Re: Was Jesus a real person?
Peace, guys. As I said, I have no problem with your motives. I also have no problem respecting your beliefs.

What I have a problem with is that too many have no respect for mine, or if they have respect their behavior doesn't show it.

Understand that in my 70 years I have experienced input from many religious points of view and have spent many hours interviewing missionaries from Bahai, LDS, Jehovah's Witnesses et. al. I also spent many hours studying the St. James version of The Bible. LaSalle awarded me a 4.0 for my analysis of the Gospels and of Solomon's whining, in spite of the fact that it bore little resemblance to popular understanding of them.

The conclusions I have reached are my own, not adoption of what others believe. I choose not to evangelize them.

If we could sit down with a pot o' joe or a 5th of single malt for several hours I might be able to explain the basics of what I believe, but considering the hornet nest that erupted when I said that I doubt that Jesus was divine you might want to bring your Prozac.
