Watched this 234 ton house being moved across Lake Winnebago in WI. Was a pretty good day of Walleye fishing too. Unfortunately the house sat on a dead end road on the steel beams for at least a year due to permit problems and the neighborhood hoodlums trashed it.

OK last summer, me, wife three teenage daughters one teenage son on my boat, my buddy his wife two teenage daughters and two daughters 4 and 6 on his boat. Were tied up in the trees at Pueblo Res. in southern Colorado just enjoying an adult beverage and napping while the kids sun bathe and swim, I am all cozy with my wife on the bow sun bathing area and my situation can best be described as thoroughly investigating the backs of my eye lids. I hear the kids say that theres a rope in the water between the boats, mind you I am 99.9% GONE so things being heard are somewhat hazy.....

I can assure you that 8 women screaming can not only break glass it can involuntarily cause at least two Corona's to leap out of the semi comatose male holders hands.

I came too just in time to witness my buddies wife give a Jerome Bettis stiff arm to HER daughter while in emergency boat evacuation mode to Lipps boat.

Wow now thats a situation!

Man this thread has me going. I didn't see it personally but it was all over the news a few years ago when Lake Delton in WI drained completely:

I've seen (and actually participated) water skipping on snowmobiles. Also a few years ago up here there was a huge boat crash on the Miss. River by Treasure Island Casino. A big 40 some foot boat with twin big blocks crashed at almost 90 mph trying to take a hard turn into the marina and a dozen passengers were ejected. Amazingly no one died.

Thanks for posting the pic, I couldn't figure out how to make it work. You can't tell from this pic but that was actually a pretty wavy, nasty day, there was a bass tournament going on that weekend and they swamped a couple boats in it. I guess at that weight a 2 foot roller isn't going to have much impact though.

I saw the shark boat live at the St. Louis boat show last night, plus they are having a raffle for party cruise on the pirate ship.....

Some really good prices tho, many boats were a third off list. The SeaRay salesman almost sold me a new boat.

I saw the shark boat....

That reminds me... I saw some HUGE great white sharks while fishing off Guadalupe Island, Mexico. They would hang around under the boat and wait for a tuna to start circling under the boat,,, then the unlucky fisherman would pay the "Tax Man". Once the first tuna was chopped in half the captain took the carcase and tied a rope on it. When another fish was coming the captian would flop the carcase in the water to try and distract the great white. Sometime it worked, sometimes it didn't. Seeing the size of the bite mark on the tuna, I wouldn't want to be in that water...

Something else that was odd, the local fishermen from the island came out to our boat a couple times to do some bartering,,, in a 20' panga  NOOOO way would I be out there in a boat the size of the sharks

Here's a panga:

I was camping on a creek that feeds into the Ohio river. Wild pop up storm moved thru the area and the water level in the creek began to rise quickly. I was sittin in my van waiting for the storm to pass. Then i saw a large section of floating dock with a speedboat tied to it as well as a jet ski, ripping by in the speedy current headed for the Ohio river.

I grew up around cotton mouths and eastern timber rattlers...you learn to be quick on the draw. shoot first and ask questions later...

I guess you kinda get used to them when you grow up in the sticks of Mississippi. They both are every where, creeks, ponds, lakes, flower beds, under houses. Will make you think twice about jumping into the water
