That Murphy sure is a Jerk i rember one time i mixed the wrong hardner in clear coat on a bumper cover it looked great but it never dried lol had to wash it off and repaint it

I HATE MURPHY.. well i like the one here on iboats he's a cool guy.. but that other murphy ooooo man john i think he sits in the garage in sight of both boats just to mess with me i tell ya.. i know where your coming from.. well at least you cleaned it up and got the primer.. your getting there.

John, let me think about that. Around 7 a good time? Hopefully the weather is nice so we can throw something on the grill. Maybe one other couple from Grand Rapids coming too! should be a good mini party. He's got a lund, so we men can talk boats and watch the Spartys, lol. Oooh, we better look at game time, huh. Don't want you to be driving and missing that.

Man Guys went to grinding the tex and its not hard enough yet , it solid but not fully cured !! so I am at kind of a stand still !!! I got to finish the the spot in the bow , just some and hand sanding , and I am going to hand sand all the edges on the bottom , but thats not much !!!!!! So this kind of bites , John

She Is all sanded except the two areas that have the Tex . This stinks , could be out there cleaning up , but theres not much sence it that when I still have to grind !!!

I did get some pic's of what i am waiting for !!! I will get them up in a little while !!!

Ok all I've been thinking , was just out there and its petty hard now , still going to wait for morning , should be able to grind all of this in less then a hour !!then get her wiped down , and the primer her friday morning !!! here's a pic of what i am waiting for , this frist pic is the transom , look just under the top , theres 7 spot like this on or by the transom !!!

then there is just two spots on the wing on the bottom in the bow !!!

Ha! Well, the good news is that by the time I got home, it was all but gone already.

I drove by a local lake today..NO ICE, and a LOON was swimming around already...YAY!

I'm really trying to get myself geared up to get that transom done...I was looking at grinders at Home Depot yesterday. I've been bent on a Makita because of the airflow design and sealed motor...but then I looked at a Dewalt that had a dust system on it that blows the dust back by the cord and has a one finger adjustable deflection collar and a couple of other niceties..plus a case! $90 though...the Makita is 60. I don't know if the Dewalt is worth the premium...I can get 2 grinders for $100 from Bosch....grrr...decisions!

Yep I hear yea Mike , water has been open here for at least the last two weeks, !!!! Man news just said 60 out there today !!!!!!

I have always had good luck with Dewalt, and that craftman lasted the hole boat, it was a buddies, so don't know how old it was, and he's no longer with us !!!! Miss him !!!!!! But I have always had good luck with craftsman !!! When the craftsman died I went and got a cheapie from harbor freight, we will see how long that one last , when I start to buff her out !!!!!!

Ok kids are heading here , so I am going to go finish sanding her !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! John

I bought a 7 inch grinder at harbor frieght for like 40 and it worked and worked! just get the replacment plan for 5 bucks and you are set.. if it breaks take it back and get a brand new one
